This is an updated OP to show the final design of the badge and the questions you need to answer should you pick up the badge from the BYOC desk during PAX Prime 2013:

On the topic of the design, I too love this design! I may have been born at the very end of the 80's, but I still played a couple of adventure games when I was little. (I stopped because I got lost in a maze.)

It's a badge you attach to your normal PAX badge that identifies you as a forum user to others at PAX as you walk around the convention.

Thanks for the feedback all. I was worried that some of you may be too young to appreciate the Infocom reference, but you have allayed my fears on that score. I'm working on making the back more descriptive now. Stay tuned!

Nope, it's a great idea! I played so much Zork when i was younger. The box art on the front of the badge is a real nice touch. I had forgotten the look of the boxes until i saw the badge.

Yes! Get your badges! So i can high five you or something when i see you on the floor! My only badge related experience at East this year was one person saw mine and said hello but they didn't pick theirs up (or maybe they just weren't wearing it, i can't remember exactly).

I have to say I love having the forum badge. We were at the Double Fine after party last year and I got stopped by someone who recognized my forum handle. It was really great to be able to talk to them in person.

The back of that badge makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Great concept. Also, I LOVE the green-on-dark theme. That's what all my command lines end up looking like in production.

Not a huge fan of the green lines on grey on the front personally, but I love it overall. Great work as usual!

Some of the pics i saw on the googles showed yellow lines on the old zork boxes. I thought they were white though.

The lines came in all kinds of colour, the important part is the gray box.

I developed the background using a Zork box, but I can modify it via the magic of Photoshop!
