Forcing the Mobile Site

XobyteXobyte Registered User regular
About half the time, I browse this site on my Nexus 7. My browser of choice is the native Chrome client, but it always brings up the desktop version of the site which is unwieldy on a screen this size. Is there a URL or a setting that will force my browser to the mobile site?

on the main page there should be a link at the very bottom to bring up the mobile site

it is only there on a mobile device however.

On a desktop Chrome, you can change the User Agent. Developer Tools (Inspect Element) --> Settings (bottom right corner) --> Overrides
Never tried it on a Nexus though, so not sure how easy it would be. If you can get in there, you can switch it up (maybe to be an iPad?) and take care of your problem. Might have to get an app that changes it for you, not sure

I'm using a galaxyS3, and pressing that did absolutely nothing for me.

I notice this on the Kindle Fire (Original) as well. I think there's something about Android where it doesn't report the tablet OS as a mobile browser.

Have you tried the Dolphin browser with the plugin:

It really depends how the mobile site is being served as well - stylesheet detection, javascript, etc

It works fine on my S3 with Verizon.
