Every year at PAX my friends and I always find ourselves waiting in line at Subway. It sucks.
There's always Urbanspoon and Yelp but I think it would be interesting to hear from some of the hardened PAX attendees that have really come to know the area.
So let's discuss Seattle eateries!
Where's one place you've absolutely loved?
What did you get?
Quality/price ratio?
There's a jimmy John's about a block away. Jimmy John's is always good, although probably not exactly what you were looking for XD

Actually I've heard quite a bit about Jimmy John's. Seems like a hell of a better alternative to Subway!

EDIT: did more research so I'm sure this is the place I ordered a lot from.
I'd recommend Romios pizza. The food is delicious and pretty cheap for delivery pizza . I stayed at the Westin last year and because we couldn't keep anything my friend and I ordered out every night. We ordered from here a lot and for about $20, $10 a person, including the tip we got a large pepperoni and an appetizer.
The only "tip/warning" I'd give about this place is to make sure you eat/order from the one by the convention center. They have two places in Seattle and the one further east by the sound is apparentl the worse of the two. The good one is on Howell street.
I think Blue C is pretty expensive as far as sushi belt places go, but it's also quite nice. I'm not sure about the Seattle one, but in Bellevue, there's the main belt and another significantly smaller one. If it's the same in Seattle, you don't want to be on the smaller one. There's a place called Japonessa that's about 5 blocks away from WSCC. MOD pizza, about 2 blocks away, is good too.
My favorite places to eat (so far, and full disclosure; I haven't eaten at that many different places the two times I've been to Prime) are Pike Place Chowder and Pike Street Fish Fry.
If you don't mind walking uphill to neighboring Capitol Hill, there's quite a lot of choices in the Pike/Pine corridor. I made a quick map of my favorites (with links to their menus!) that are not more than a 10 minute walk. My coworker swears by the Other Coast, so I included it, but I still have not gone there (I bring my lunch to work.) I trust him though.
Also: If you are an architect and/or are an architecture-enthusiast, Melrose Market is an excellent example of adaptive reuse, and is loved by many Seattlelites.

Didn't someone do a big list of food places last year?
Edit:
@ElmoFuntz made a big list of places to eat last year. I can only imagine he'll make a new one once we get closer, but until that happens/ of if it halte happens here's a pretty big useful list.
I PM'ed @ElmoFuntz a bit ago about starting the thread up again but have not heard back. I was hoping that we might do a favorites list this year. Like everyone post your fav from different catagories (Italian, Mexican, Bakery, Vegatarian, etc). The list was SOOO amazingly big last year we had a hard time trying to decide where to go.
Fox Sports Grill right beside Blue C, has some of the best nachos you will ever eat. Everything else is meh.

We eat at Fox Sports Gill every year and love their burgers. Hard Rock Cafe is also great, but a little more of a walk.
For something quick we usually go to the NYC deli right next to the Blue Sushi. They have good breakfast sandwiches, but their lunch items aren't that great to me.

fox sports grill is no longer there, it is now The Edge Grill and despite only 3 stars on yelp ive heard some good things.
There is also Westlake center a few blocks west of the convention center, typical mall food court but we always go here because there is plenty of variety.
Slim, Relax, Fine Wine At The Qfc, On A Snowy Saturday Night
I echo the others here that Jimmy John's is a great for a quick lunch. (they make those subs fast!) My first time experiencing Jimmy John's was in Seattle.
NYC Deli Market is a great spot connected to the Grand Hyatt Seattle that serve breakfast and lunch sandwiches. They also have a salad and pasta bar.
Other places I remember eating/drinking
TapHouse Grill- great selection of drinks/beer, food priced well and tasty, good service - 4/5
Fox Sports Grill (now known as the Edge Grill) - great appetizers, decent pricing, "so-so" food, ok service - 3/5
Cheesecake Factory - good prices, food is good, good service - 4/5
Morton's Steakhouse - very expensive, food was okay, service was bad - 2/5
The ratings above reflect my experiences with said places - your experience may vary of course. I plan to try some brand new places this year. That Great Foodening thread has a lot of good spots I want to check out.

Sorry I thought the link posted. I'm on a phone..
And never mind jillians got taken over or something so everything has changed.
There is a very good Asian food place in the center... I forget the name of it.. its the mall that has the AMC theater and where the Guildwars 2 party was. It was amazing...

Thai Ginger? My group was thinking about eating there one night but then decided against it.
Blue C Sushi is my go to spot for food near the con but be prepared to wait at least 30 mins if u go during peak lunch or dinner time.
If you're willing to walk, about 4 block down pike there is a Qdoba that I've gone too many times. Waaaay better than Taco del Mar and it's never busy.
Havent seen Mods Pizza mentioned so I'll throw that in, was pretty good last year and not too far off the convention center (1302 Sixth Avenue)
Here are directions from the WSCC: http://goo.gl/maps/o7SW9 its literally across the street from the Hilton (where I stayed last year), great atmosphere IMO and great pizza
Ahh yes its like a Subway but for personal pizzas. Very good mention Ramen. Also get their cream sodas they have at the end of the line... Best I ever drank.

It being my first time in the city last year, I had never tried the cream soda, looks like I have another reason to stop by again
Yea you will find it in a cooler at the end of the counter. They have it there in glass bottles. Soooo good.

Last prime, I became rather fond of Elephant & Castle (under the Red Lion hotel). Several import British beers on tap, and I found the food to be good.

The two places I really enjoyed when I went to Prime in 2011 were the crepe place at the convention center (I forget the name, but I had this apple, goat cheese, and almond crepe that was sooooooooooo delicious) and Cyber Dogs, which is between the convention center and the theater (they have these massively loaded hot dogs that you basically have to eat with a fork; the guy running the place when I went there was really nice and a fellow geek, and they have a Ms. Pac Man cocktail cabinet). Both places were on the cheap side, too.
Definitely going to try Mod Pizza this year, assuming I manage to get to Prime. That sounds fantastic.
Pike Place Chowder is good.
Sweet Iron Waffles is also really good, but good luck getting something in the morning. During PAX, that place is PACKed.
Beechers Handmade Cheese - has awesome mac and cheese. I personally think all cheese lovers need to stop there at least once.
MODS Pizza - had to add my support for those previous mentions for MODs since it's tasty and really hard not to like since you can customize your pizza the way you want it.
Honeyhole - also a great place to eat but more of a pain to get to since there really isn't a bus going that way, and it's a bit of an uphill walk. I grumbled all the way there, then let my stomach take over and do the happy full grumble the whole way back to the Sheraton.
TWO of my group's must have every visits are The Pink Door (near Pike Place) and Maximus Minimus (the steel pig food truck). The Pink Door is a delicious more of a sit down place. Yelp says it's a $$ kind of price range. Maximus Minimus is probably not the easiest thing to find, but if you see it you should totally try it. Their pulled pork sandwiches are amazing.

Top Pots doughnuts and dog in the park were two places I enjoyed last year, Both were under $5 and beyond amazing.
The only thing about Top Pots is go early and give yourself plenty of time. It's a well known spot to both the locals and paxers and I've seen lines go out the door. All in all though I'd definitely recommend going there at least one morning you won't wait super long and its definitely worth it.

Oh man. I forgot about Top Pot. Went there for the Harmonix hang out last Prime. Those were some of the best doughnuts I've ever had.

Yeah it was good. I stayed at the Westin and they were right up the block so I went there a few times. If I remember right they have premade boxes of doughnuts or if you're really picky you can order a box the day before.
I second Cyberdogs, they are great, and even though they are across the street from the Convention Center, it still doesn't get *too* packed during PAX. And get this...they are actually a vegetarian hot dog place! Another place I like to go during PAX is Johnny Rockets, on the top floor of Pacific Place mall just a block down from the Convention Center. It's a 50's-diner experience with great greasy food.
And yeah, Jimmy Johns is a great alternative to Subway - you don't get to design your own sandwiches there, but they do have lots of options, and they make them FAST. If nobody else is ordering, you can sometimes order your sandwich, pay for it, walk to the other end of the counter, and immediately pick up your freshly-made sub sandwich. And if you want you can also order it in non-sub form by ordering it on wheat; you get the same amount of toppings as the sub but in a normal sandwich.
Somewhere not to go. (We only found this place because we stayed in the Renaissance last PAX) is the McCormicks Fish House and Bar. Its a good walk from the convention but around the corner from the hotel. We had gnats in our drinks and the food was very bland, and costly. However I did find a great Sushi place near that hotel that ended up being the best place I ate the whole time there, the name is Sushi Kanpai... It was amazing. Of course both of those would be a bit of a travel unless you were staying in that hotel. Sushi Kanpai is worth it though.

Wait... that was a veggie dog? Seriously? In that case, that was the best damn veggie dog I ever tasted. I normally hate veggie dogs.
And I haven't been to the Johnny Rocket's in Seattle, but I've been to the one in Santa Monica, and I agree they make a damn tasty burger. The sweet potato fries are nice too.

My favorite "super close to the con" place is Blue C Sushi, and it can be as cheap or expensive as you want since it's a la carte.
Is that the one that rolls various dishes along and you just select whatever? Looked very cool but very expensive!
How good is Seattle sushi anyway? Comparable to Vancouver? XD
