Comic Edits 7: Let us cheapen a perfectly fine comic.

Everyone has a different way of doing this. Sometimes you see a PA comic, the expressions on the faces, and you think "Whoa, this TOTALLY should be about Wile E Coyote and the Road Runner instead of some videogame". First, check if you've been abusing funny substances and if not, go ahead and think up a new dialogue.
Sometimes, If you feel the URGE to edit a comic but you have no ideas, it helps when you just blank out all the balloons and look at the drawings. Maybe change the order of the panels. Weird ideas might come to you.
Often, the way someone/something is drawn might remind you of some popular person/thing/topic and well, you're off aren't you. Sometimes another thread or forum just hands it to you on a platter.
Read the official PA archive if you haven't done it yet. You're going to need the panels one day...

I started with the image of Div that I recalled from this comic thinking that it would fit the second panel of the original comic I started with well and then more or less went from there. The rest (Cardboard Tube shadow, Gabe and Tycho reactions, other Cardboard Tube image) I relied upon Pipe Four to find for me. If you don't use it you really should as its much better than the Archive search engine here!

Todays version of the "MY DIIIIIIICK" joke has been cancelled due to violations of multiple treaties banning the use of weapons of mass destruction.
The UN Inspector General was quotes as saying "The principle of proportionalty and the minimization of excessive force has always been a guideline for these conventions. The use of a MY DIIIICK joke in relation to todays comic would be a violation of the principles of war agreed upon by all civilized nations."

On a side note, I'm experimenting with GIMP now (the editing program, not gimp like from the scene at Zed's in Pulp Fiction). I'm still working primarily in Paint, but I'm porting into GIMP to save once I'm done so I won't have any color degradation or blurriness. That really got to me on this one when I saw how it looked saved as a JPEG from Paint and uploaded onto ImageShack. Eventually I might work solely within GIMP, but for right now I don't really know what the hell I'm doing in that program, save for executing some very basic tasks. I'll probably work at how to use it a lot more though moving forward! Also, inverting colors in Paint, which I had to do for the second panel, simply doesn't work as desired. Working within Paint limitations is still kinda fun . . . at least when said limitations are not making something looking bad. For that reason I'll probably still use it primarily? I don't know, I'll have to see.

Paint can save as PNG, if you were seeing issues with it saving to JPEG. Also you can look into Paint.NET if you want a more Windows-like editing experience than GIMP.
