Thanks, because of your Red Lion warning, albeit several days late, I was actually able to snag a Sheraton room instead at about $70 cheaper than my previous hotel, plus it's closer too!

So I have 2 quad occupancy rooms booked for me and 7 of my friends at the Westin (not my first choice). Today I was able to get 1 quad occupancy room at the sheraton, and I am hoping one more will open up. If me and my friends were to end up at 2 separate hotels, does anyone know the rules about guests using a pool in a hotel they are not staying at?

Depends on the hotel. Call them directly to find out.

I emailed them, they said, "Unfortunately the pool use here at the hotel is for hotel guest’s only."
Awesome, I got it My whole group is at the Sheraton now, thanks!
Lucky you! If only I saw that post 20 mins earlier! I hope someone else releases a two bed. I just need one room with 2 beds from 28AUG to 03SEP. Cross my fingers!

I noticed that there is a two bed available at the Sheraton right now... if you read this in time or haven't found one already.

OMG! lol thank you! was able to grab one! Now I don't have to worry about my brother not getting a bed.
I originally booked two rooms at the sheraton thinking that some of my friends would come with us. But they bailed and I just cancelled the second room. So it should be showing up on the onpeak thingy soon in case anyone else is still desperate for a room
Hey just a heads up - this may be isolated to only me but I got my confirmation email from Homewood. I called to ensure I was set for late arrival and they didn't have a credit card on file for the reservation even though OnPeak lists my credit card on file...
May want to double check just in case.

It's incredibly possible that while some of the information has been transferred that not *all* of it has been yet. I also got a confirmation from homewood.
If they say that hotel reservations are flipping over to the hotels After August 21, is that set in stone? Or would some hotels have ur reservation already? Let's say for instance Sheraton. If they have ur reservation they would email u right?
Well, considering my email from onpeak said August 21st, and I just got a confirmation email from Homewood, I would say that it is possible that they are *starting* to transfer the information. It takes awhile and is not instantaneous. It's also not 100% guaranteed that other hotels will send you an email, although that would be nice. What you should do is call OnPeak if you're not sure, and they should be able to tell you whether or not your reservation has been given to the hotel in question.

I will do that when the call centre is open next. I think it's closed now at this time in Toronto.
I won't be making it to my hotel until a good 11pm that night, just how late does late arrival extend to? Should I call ahead anyways just to make sure they know?

Yes, call ahead and confirm. Late arrival stuff can vary from hotel to hotel.
If you booked through OnPeak, best to wait until the 21st as quoted in the email since your hotel may not have any idea who the heck you are yet. If you booked yourself, go ahead and call whenever.
A little heads up for people that have booked the Sheraton Seattle, I just called reservations and it seems my reservation has transferred over from OnPeak. If any of you want to call to confirm your reservation or add requests now is the time.

The policy for Starwood (Sheraton, Westin, W) is that they'll hold your room until checkout time the next day (which is usually 11AM or 12PM, depending on the hotel).
Did anyone receive the confirmation email for your reservations yet? I reserved a quad. occupancy at the Sheraton but still didn't get any notice about it
Not all hotels will send you a confirmation email after the transfer. You should call OnPeak and they can tell you whether or not your reservation has been transferred, then you can call the Sheraton if it has and talk to them about it.

I just called sheraton's 1-888 reservation line on Thursday night and they were able to confirm our rooms. I also was able to ask them to send the confirmation email to me as week so I have it for the hotel check-in.
I know last year, Crowne Plaza sent out my hotel confirmation pretty much the week before PAX. As that's where we're staying this year, I assume that's the case. Otherwise, I will double check with OnPeak to make sure all is well

We just called Crowne Plaza this morning and they were able to verify our reservations (We hadn't received a confirmation e-mail yet).

cool! then I most likely won't have anything to worry about. I just checked my emails from last year, my confirmation was sent 8/23/2013 (the week before), and PAX last year was 8/31/2012-9/2/2012, so I think we can expect our actual confirmation email this week
Is anyone else staying at Hotel Five? Looked like a cool spot and different from all the standard mega-hotels in the area. Plus Top Pot Donuts next door!
Just read on Reddit where someone called OnPeak and found out all the reservation transfers will finalize on the 22nd, so if we were to get any confirmation email from hotels it'll be around then.
That works; and it coincided with my previous post about my hotel confirmation from last year was received on the 23rd

That information is available in your OnPeak confirmation email. Some hotel reservations have been transferred already though.

I have 2 quad occupancy rooms booked with the Sheraton, and I am feeling extremely anxious at the fact that my 2 double beds may not be guaranteed with my reservations, the room type is just a type of request, or so I have been told.
Two years ago, I stayed at another hotel with 3 of my friends. When we got there to check in, they informed me that they had overbooked and the double beds that I requested were not available... one of my friends had to sleep on a cot, and the other had to sleep on the floor... Has anyone else come across this problem? I don't want anyone sleeping on the floor this year.
It can happen. Call OnPeak to see if your reservation has been transferred to the sheraton (it probably has by now) and then call the sheraton to get a final confirmation.

Best thing to do is call Sheraton as soon as the reservations transfer. Try to talk to the manager on duty, as they should be able to change the bed type if need be (and if there are any available). If you get transferred to central reservations, they'll be able to tell you what bed type is confirmed, but they can't actually change third-party reservations (like OnPeak), and would need to send an email to the hotel if anything needs to be changed.
