Adventures of Superman #2 was very fun, but not at all easy on the eyes.

That series did get me buying digital exclusives though. Lil' Gotham is great. I need to get all of that.

Is she thicker than in #1?

I'm also assuming the colorist had to cover up some of Cheetah's pencils.

As much as people lament the end of Hellblazer, Constantine has been bloody great in JLDark and I'm glad his solo series is turning out to be great as well.
And man, I love that art.

Stradegy I suppose. If we go by "black mirror" the guy plotted several crimes and was only found out because he told everyone.

    Uhhmmm...
isn't that likely to blow up in her face? How could it go any other way?

Also, at first I thought that Johnathan Crane was the guy she was talking to, and that he was going to be the team psychiatrist like Doc Samson used to be for X-Factor.

    .

She has a team full of killers and psychos. I would think she knows it can all go south at any given moment.

Yeah, but in this case she's picking someone uncontrollable who's probably smarter than she is, and she's giving him some degree of control over the team's operations to boot.

    It seems utterly irrational.

  • sweetcreamscoopssweetcreamscoops Registered User regular
Again, I'm sure she realizes this but finds the payoff bigger than the risk. Waller has made risky decisions that have blown up in her face before. But she also is a master manipulater and probably has several backup plans not to mention a bomb in his neck in case he tries something.

In fact, the next issue is about the team taking over Bel Reave. So I'm sure Kot knows that someone like James is hard to control but wants to show us that Waller doesn't fuck around when it comes to this team.

Thor: God of Thunder is without a doubt the best thing that Jason Aaron has ever written, and the best thing that Esad Ribic has ever drawn

    it's fucking amazingly good

We had Kirby cosmic, and it was great. We had Simonson's style, and that ruled.

But what Esad Ribic is doing amazes me. He's managed to keep that sci-fi element in a fantasy book, a cosmic element that is integral to Thor, but take inspiration from artists like Moebius to create a new style for the God of Thunder. And it compliments Aaron's style really well, and vice versa.

Damn, but I love it so much. It's my new Uncanny X-Force.

Bought DD v4 and all the singles since (##22-25), Assemble 15, hulk 5 or so, and I may have bought Batwoman. I'm psyched.

My MotW was just getting to visit a store for the first time in months (Floating World in Portland). Even if I was dumbstruck at how far behind I am and wishing I could remember what I have and haven't even gotten to read yet or preordered or ordered and was delayed (CM v2. Grrrrrr).

My friend and I were discussing this, and we decided that Thor: God of Thunder is so incredibly Metal that the only way to do it justice would be to paint every single page on electric guitars, and paint the covers on shitty 80s vans containing those guitars.
