So some dude made all of Baldur's Gate in Neverwinter Nights 2

...you're kidding me, right?
Your first reaction to something like this is "pffft, that's dumb"?
Because seriously, who gives a fuck? It's a mod he put seven god damned years into, it's probably because he really liked the original and wanted to remake it.
Although I guess it makes sense that the one guy wouldn't want to spend 30 years or whatever remaking a much bigger game
maybe because BG2 had like a billion times the content of BG1.
he's like one of those people who saw the Mona Lisa and went "Pffffffft. Why didn't he draw someone cooler?"

are you volunteering?

Also maybe he wanted to make BG1 first and then BG2, who knows
The idea of messing with anything other than an isometric engine for the BG games is alien to me.
Baldur's Gate games have aged really well; such that this isn't a hindrance.
for me the draw would be playing BG with an updated D&D ruleset
(though BG:EE already made a good case for that)
god I wish I had the time to play it this way
Follow me on Twitter??
Still haven't played it.
But I DO have a copy of NWN2...
Half a smile? are you even trying?
This mod sounds fun tho, I may have to dust off the Nwn and give it a go
Making a mod like this in any engine is an incredible feat, but making ONE AREA in the Aurora toolset is fucking herculean. Just getting the tiles to snap together in a large indoor area or getting the ground textures to look good in an outdoor area is preposterously difficult. These guys deserve a medal, a lifetime achievement award, and a plaque to hang them on.
