    Good luck, man.

Cheers. I worked out that based on my assignment scores I can't now fail the module unless I fail the exam completely (by scoring below 40%). Would like to do better than that, though, however to obtain a result of "first" for the module I basically need to clear 90%.

I think that's feasible, but relies on me getting lucky with the questions and not screwing up arithmetically anywhere.

The Guardian has an interesting quote on the subject of PS4/XBone
Microsoft is betting on doing things that make large content makers happy – DRM always on, spending money on NFL and Spielberg etc – in the hope that if there is great content, users will come. Sony is not bending over to make large companies happy, focusing instead on making users and retailers happy, betting that if they have the users, the content will come.

God no. I'd put up with bagpipes everyday if it meant I got to live in Scotland again. Just the small matter of getting a job up there...or a job at all...

And that not to mention how much easier it is for indies to get on PS4, hell the DayZ guy said the PS4 was quite possibly in the cards after they get out of alpha, and that the the Xbone is just to hard of a platform to get on to.

Heh. First stage of the Ster ZLM Toer with a viable sprint finish yesterday. All the main teams have rolled out their big-name sprinters and full trains as a kind of dry run for the Tour de France, so the cycling press has spent the last week pontificating about how the sprint stages are going to come down to Mark Cavendish vs. Andre Greipel vs. Marcel Kittel.

First sprint taken by Theo Bos, from a group containing all three of those riders. Good show, that man.

Man if you compare Sony's and MS teams its night and day really.

Last night they has 2 guys whom are or were with MS (Stephen Toulouse and someone else) and 2 guys with Sony (Adam Boyes and Seth Killian)

They were on separate segments the one with the MS guys was so MS MS MS it was nuts. Like for instance when asked about the Xbox One name and if they think its weird one responds with
when I heard Kinect I thought it was a terrible name but 26 million units sold later.
and they dared not to mention anything not Xbone exclusive.

Meanwhile you had the Sony guys and they are shooting the shit talking about all the awesome games on all platforms only really towing the company line when it was asked for.

EDIT whoops forgot to mention this was on Giantbomb

Also I guess MS didnt comment on HOW people in the military are going to use xbone's.

Because there is no way anything relating to that is in the system at all.

Hmmm. This company produces unmanned drones for the logistics/delivery purposes. Currently operating in Africa and Haiti:
To deliver 2kg [4.4lb] over 10km [6.2 miles] costs just 24 cents," he said, although currently a vehicle costs about $3,000 (£1,900).

That seems relatively inexpensive. A van delivering small parcels is going to use fuel costing more than that to travel the same distance, although realistically it would do a loop of deliveries one after the other, and the drone would have to make a round trip per delivery. Plus the van costs ten times as much as a drone and you have to pay a driver. I wonder how the economics of this shakes out.

It'll be interesting to see if this is one of those things where Africa transitions straight from no infrastructure to "new" infrastructure without the intervening stages, kind of like how in some countries they went straight from no pervasive telecoms infrastructure to almost entirely mobile infrastructure, without ever really going through the stage of land lines everywhere.

Plus the courier only needs to control the depot, which might be an issue in a place like Haiti where poor roading, expensive petrol, parts etc and local crime could impact on normal delivery

Also is it just me but has Japan's posting recently become more frequent and interesting since exam study and prep started?

I took this week off work.

For the last few days if I've been on during the day it's because I'm experiencing brain fade after a couple of hours of manipulating equations and am trying to think about something else for a bit.
