[Doctor Who] Calling it now, River Song is Mrs. Claus
August is also set to be a good month for classic Who. Spearhead From Space is out on BluRay on the 13th (which should line up nicely with me finishing off the Troughton DVDs), and Ice Warriors gets its first DVD release on the 26th with an animated restoration of episodes 2 and 3. This time, however, the animation is being done by Qurios instead of Cosgrove.
I never much cared for the aesthetic of the Cosgrove restorations, though they got the job done. Qurios don't seem to be doing anything very different.
I am so down for the Spearhead Bluray. The only story that gave me recurring nightmares as a child. It being recorded entirely on film gives it a feel you don't get in any other Doctor Who serial, and it really enhanced the eeriness of a lot of the scenes for me.
