Sorry for the question. This game having a beta weekend right now? Im not quite at home for a bit.
Not yet. We don't know when the next beta will start but based on the info we do have (It will last 1 week, there will only be a few days between beta 4 and early access, early access will be 1 week, and the game releases on the 27th) the estimate is around August 9th or 10th.
This is not confirmed though, just an educated guess.

Yeah' Admins check pretty regularly and we will be making a few more for ffxiv. I haven't been able to log in this weekend cause I may or may not have left my laptop charger on the ship

Hi there since the Raid Call channel is shared with the TERA guild and I noticed you guys talking about it I figured I should say something. The channel is set to semi-public which means anyone with a Raid Call account can join the channel but are limited to the lobby. This is nice for when we have people join us on raids but it means a lot of people who aren't associated with any of our guilds randomly end up in our lobby. Those people usually bug admins for membership, apply when they don't actually do anything with the guilds or just play random games in the lobby.
The lobby is currently set so only admins can talk in it and you must be a group member to use the text chat so you shouldn't hear a bunch of Russians playing Counter Strike or LoL in the lobby anymore. So the people that think our lobby is a place to play random games should just end up leaving on their own.
When applying for membership please clearly state you are from the FFXIV guild otherwise we will just assume you are some random person and reject it. If you send a message to an admin and don't hear back it is probably cause we set it so only people on our friend list can message us to avoid getting spam.
If you are partying with someone and invite them into the channel cause typing sucks and it isn't the 90s anymore. You will need to ask an admin to move then out of the lobby and into your channel. Feel free to hop over to the TERA channels and ask one of our admins if none of yours are online.
And finally if you joined the channel as a guest found a bunch of Russians playing Counter Strike and immediately get banned by mistake send me a PM.

Hmm, not really sure what to tell you. The internet is what it is, you will always be able to find strange things people have done using existing IPs. That video is indicative only of that niche, not the game itself.
If you really were looking to see if there was more to the game than "an outlet for some of the strange Japanese videogame teenagecatgirl fantasies" then you would have found it, because there is a lot more to it than that, and there are videos and websites galore out there showcasing it. My guess is that you didn't actually care to search, or didn't look very hard at all to see if that one video really was indicative of the game itself.
I mean if I looked up a video of some fan video of Princess Peach would I then be able to say that Mario is just an outlet for some of the strange Japanese princess fantasies? I don't have to even look them up to guarantee you that they exist, and are probably even more frightening than the video just posted

That said, I have a couple of young teenish kids and I'd be fine with them playing any of the Final Fantasies, in fact, I have encouraged them to play them.
There is a metric ton of material that starts at soft core porn levels and just goes right off the rails from there, but you're safe 99% of the time sticking to the mainstream stuff, and I /feel/, although it just might be long experience, that picking out the odd mainstream inappropriate is pretty easy. I wouldn't want my kids playing an Ar Tonelico game, for example.

Eh, not really, it's a pretty common thing to do to youtube vids these days. Youtube doesn't have a repeat option so people often make repeating vids that last 20 minutes, an hour, or sometimes 10 hours just so they don't have to worry about pressing play again.
They will make repeating vids of the most ridiculous things you can imagine.
