Do I need a memory card?
Most likely, yes. Even if you avoid the PSN entirely, there are still some retail games that will require a memory card to save progress.
What's PS Mobile?
It's a new service Sony have launched to target the cheap app space on certain Android devices and the Vita. Both games and non-game apps will be available, so it opens a window to some very interesting things. Right now it's only available in Japan, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Australia but it's expected to expand soon.
Are all PSP, PS1 and Minis games on the PSN backwards compatible?
No, currently there are a number of games you can only download through a PS3 and others that don't work at all. The games known to NOT work are listed below and it's important to point out that compatibility varies depending on the region. Some games may work in one region but not in another for instance. For a more fleshed out NA list, see here.

How do I switch accounts? This video explains how to switch them. One thing to note though, is that you don't actually need to take your memory card out of the Vita when you do this. If you leave it in there, it will ask if you want to format the memory card as well and you can select not to.
How do I get into the in-game options in PS1/PSP games?
Simply press down on the screen while in game and the menu will show up, letting you play with a few settings. The in-game menu lets you remap controls, add a bilinear filter to help eliminate aliasing, increase disc speed (to decrease load times) in PS1 games and more.
How do I take screenshots in-game?
Simply press the Start and PS button at the same time. Some games disable this feature, though, so if it's not working, that's probably the reason.
What's "Cross-Buy"?
It's what Sony has labelled their 'buy one, get the other free' PS3/Vita game promotion. It works just as intended, though so far only for PSN games. You buy the game and get both the PS3, Vita and PS4 versions of it (if available).
Similar to this, there are also some games that have Cross-Buy DLC.
What are the current Cross-Buy games?

How do I play local/ad-hoc multiplayer PSP games online?
This will require a PS3. On the PS Store there's an app called Ad-hoc Party, which will let you connect to it and play with others that are using Ad-hoc Party. One problem with this app though, is that they're region locked. So people using the US version of the app can only play with others that are using the US version. Luckily it isn't region locked, so European users can create a US account, download it, log back into their normal account and use it to play with people in the US. So to reduce confusion, I suggest everyone here use the US version, as most of us seem to be based there.
Where are my Vita saves stored?
You know the little bubbles on the main screen? Yeah, DO NOT DELETE THEM! While some retail games save your progress straight to the game card, there are a number (including Uncharted GA) that don't. They, alongside downloadable games, save to the memory card and are represented by the bubbles. So deleting them, will actually delete your save as well. If you're running out of space, back your save up to the PS+ Cloud Storage or the game itself to your PC/PS3/Mac and then delete it. Patches and installs will be backed up as well, so you when you put them back on your Vita, you won't need to download/install them all over again.
What's PlayStation Plus?
PS+ is Sony's online service. It provides a couple of very useful features: PS+ cloud storage and auto-update. The cloud storage allows you to upload all your game saves to it and then re-download them at will. While auto-update automatically checks for game patches/firmware updates and downloads them, uploads saves to the cloud storage and syncs your trophies.
The biggest part of PS+, however, is the PS Store content. Alongside additional discounts on games, Sony have a selection of games available to download. These games can be played so long as you're subscribed to PS+ and since the expiration date is saved in the registry, you don't need to be connected online. And if your subscription expires and you eventually re-subscribe, you'll be able to play the games from your first subscription again. You don't need to keep them downloaded, they'll be in your download list. Sony swaps games in/out of the selection each month, so it's worth keeping an eye on.
Main titles I'm looking forward to are Divekick, Spelunky, Batman, and I'm curious to see exactly what Tearaway is. And FFX and X-2, obviously
Is Cloudberry Kingdom happening? The official site didn't list a Vita version when I checked a couple weeks ago
I'd really like Runner 2 to make the jump
Cloudberry Kingdom is coming, just later in the year. The developers originally said it would be cross-buy but now I'm really not sure, what with the delay and Ubisoft publishing it.
I'm still waiting on news of the Terraria port to appear, honestly. I need that game on my Vita. I'm honestly a little suspicious as to whether or not it'll be up to parity with the PS3/360 versions or if they'll cut content/corners with it just because. Going months without saying a single word about the game kind of breeds that sort of suspicion.
HSG, is that called "Everybody [something] Golf" in PAL?
Everybody's Golf is the real name of the series, SCEA just decided to go with Hot Shots Golf way back when the first one came out on the PS1 and they've been stuck with it ever since.
Sony is amazing... Everytime someone says "I wish [indie title] was coming to PS3/4/Vita"

I want the Zeboyd games on here, but I think @RainbowDespair said in the past it won't happen. Wonder if that's changed with the current indie game drive?

RD has said enough in the past to make me think Vita versions of their next game (Cosmic Star Heroine) are a lock (with PS3 and/or PS4 versions). Then I guess they might look at their other idea afterwards (a bundle containing BoDVII and CStW remakes, as well as sequels to both games).
Is it bad that I think i just might buy both versions at the same time?
Is there a reason to other then for portability? Aren't they both exactly the same?
Mainly portability. I could bring the Vita to work with me and play some during lunch. My evenings usually follow the same pattern of playing something on PS3 till around 9 or 10, and then relaxing on the couch with Adult Swim on the TV and playing something on Vita or 3DS. This way, when I'm ready to kick back I can still play Dragon's Crown!
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

Ordered my Wifi vita with a 16gb memory card and that Gravity Rush game last night. Should be here tomorrow and I will commence filling that memory card with downloads very rapidly.
Completed the Amateur Rank Tournaments in HSG last night. I went all nine holes with Poncho dead even, and I finally caught a break on the last one to go 1up.
You can hit a 200+ yard chip-in for an eagle or sink a rediculously long putt, and the elation you feel is tremendous. Then you can tee off on a par 3 and have a hole-in-one look all but certain, only to have the ball hit the pin(?) and bounce back just on the edge of the hole... and your heart stops... and you just wanna die.

Isn't it kinda silly to buy gravity rush since it's more or less always free on ps+?
