Okay, so - just got a brand-new Logitech G35 7.1 headset and microphone to replace an old stereo Logitech set that was wearing out at the earcups. Windows Vista x64, all current updates applied, running the Logitech gaming software, headset is directly connected to the computer's USB port and not through a hub, etc.
I'm running into a couple issues, and I wonder if anyone has any experience with similar issues or solutions.
1) In Ventrilo, I will get (after a random amount of time from 3s - 5m) an error message stating that the sound recording device is no longer transmitting to Ventrilo. Output continues to work fine.
2) (Possibly related) In the Windows Sound menu, the microphone will randomly appear and disappear. The speakers part of the headset does not.
Thoughts? What other information do you need?
Thanks in advance for any help!

That's kind of what I am afraid of.
I've tried two of them (and a hub), but I haven't tried them all, yet. Maybe I'll do that when I get home tonight.
