    The parking here is on street but you need a permit. Except on Sundays or something. It's great for me as we have one car. Not sure what we'd do if French girl had to drive to work too though.

    The best part about alternate street parking is that the side with the sign that says No Parking MON/WED/FRI 12am-4am is the one where you can't park Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday nights. Clearly someone thought about the clarity of the signs for a very long time before laughing manically and doing the exact opposite.

    I got confused, because I Heart Huckabees was shown to me by my friend who is super into him, and struck me as mannered in a way similar to his work.

    Kind of undercuts my position as art critic, though!

    That video made me like I Heart Huckabees less than I did before. I thought it was ok before. Now I associate it with terrible whiteboard drawings and an even more facile explanation of the movie's already facile theme.

Accidentally fall asleep on the couch after dinner and let the clock strike midnight? Massive fine, boot or tow. Roll the dice!

    I got so many tickets, towed three times (two of which were bullshit but good luck fighting it when there were no witnesses and business is slow at Sal's Towing and Definitely Not a Chop Shop). I would be your towing company himmler.

    Troy is a shithole and it's your own fault for making the conscious decision to live there.

    But seriously there is one scene where they're running through rain-bird sprinklers in business suits and every time they get hit they cringe and say "fuck!" but keep going and it's actually pretty funny.
