    I got my GTX770 yesterday. I AM READY.

    Crysis 3 performance was disappointingly mediocre though, which was butts. I'm sure BF4 will be better.

    Yeah nvidia release driver updates that included like 16% improve performance for BF4 or something yesterday. I think it was a certified release and not beta drivers

    Anyone still looking to order, GMG gives some (?) people in North America 20% off on BF4, resulting in a $48 preorder price for PC. Just use code TAREM-BF4NA-PROMO on checkout...although it sounds like only certain accounts were given an email with that offer, so it won't work for everyone.

    Just used the code, no email from GMG (though I do have an account and have purchased from them before). With the $13 in credit I had from other preorders, brought the price of BF4 down to $35. Figured I'd get it eventually, but I can't say no at that price.

    Now to figure out which new graphics card to purchase...my brief time in the beta absolutely obliterated my poor 6950.

    I'm ready for the PA roflstomp steamrolling to commence across servers again. I bit the bullet and upgraded to windows 8 and got a gtx 760 4gb for this game.

    so did I hear correctly that wookie balls are back? My Bad Company lovin friend will be stoked to hear this as he hated BF3 recons, whereas in Bad Company he loved playing close quarters wookies

    BF4 Recon has the exact same tools as BC2 Recon did, minus the mortar strike. You get pokeballs, you get C4, and you can seriously kick some ass. Running a carbine on Recon was probably my favorite class in the Beta.

    IIRC, those flags are IR reflective patches, to assist identifying troops from the air or from a distance. But I can't explain the adjacent flags :P

    Shit man, I just installed Arma 3 to really give my new computer a test and the difference between my old one is astounding. I'm getting smooth FPS at ultra quality and aiming is entirely different now. I am really looking forward to playing BF4 now. I don't remember it being this good when I first got my last computer either. TF2 was the big thing then and it was smooth but it didn't blow me away like this.

    We're almost theeeeere.

    Ah ARMA 3, the game I am avoiding because I know I will just sink 500 hours into it and not play anything else. Easy to avoid temptation right now, but when ACE3 releases, that's gonna be a difficult task.
