...existance is taboo and likely to be chalanged by the home world. I also would feel it's safe to assume that the current gems may be responsible for the corruption and transformation of the other Earth gems and what we are watching is them trying to clean up their mess and live in hiding on earth from the home world gems.

Me too, but Rebecca mentioned in her AMA that she already knew what the ending to the show would be. So if it does get cancelled, she'll hopefully impart some info on what would have been.
Well, Steven Universe has been renewed for quite a few episodes. It's still not done with season 1 and has been renewed for a 52 episode second season.

Oh man I always miss the TV broadcast of the new episodes..... now I have to wait until next Thursday when Amazon will post that week's and this week's episodes. :c
Thoughts on Alone Together, probably no spoilers but still:
If this show (after last week's brush with spooky external forces) wanted to remind us why the crystal gems would do such outlandish things and be so jarred at their own willingness to do wild things for a dirtball full of organic life,
And why Rose Quartz was willing to do what she did,
Goddamn mission accomplished. This was precious, precious like Garnet's face, and could have been done so poorly in a show more afraid to leave things so murky and jumbled and alive.
So I just marathoned this whole show, which is something I never do.
THIS SHOW IS THE BEST! The art is amazing, the characters are really enjoyable, the voice acting is top notch. I especially like how positive the show was. Shit will get real every so often but the characters are all real supportive and nice.
yes, the more I think about it, this show is amazing. I think the biggest part of that reason for me is Garnet. Its just redonkulous how freaking cool, and wise, and hardcore she is.
She always has the right thing to say at the right moment, and can be a bit of a prick at times as well, like in the volleyball episode with the Fishmans, but all in good fun.
Even now in this episode, Amethyst and Pearl (mostly Pearl) are having a mild panic attack at the ramifications of what happened and Garnet is all, "Go. Have. Fun." because that's what it was all about.
Steven and Connie are also impressive. I've stated it way back when in Lion 2:The Movie. Connie is amazed at all the gem and magic stuff, and Steven is the opposite with just normal everyday stuff.
I like how their relationship is going along as well. They are still kind of young for actual love, but being good friends or puppy love is probably more appropriate and that's cool to.
There's just a lot of awesome stuff about this show, and I *crave* more gem history, knowledge, and mythology. Rebecca has that stuff on drip feed and I am fiending for that stuff.
I agree that they are young for actual love, do we have an exact age? I think they are super close and that theres a hint of romantic feeling there as well, but they play off each other super great.
Also did anyone else notice Sadie reacted to Steviany?
