[Heroes of the Storm] Artifacts removed. And there was much rejoicing!
Yeah, I do to. At first I was like "Li Li with no PotW!? Where's mah torch and pitchfork!" Really, though, the "Path of..." talents are too much like "One With Everything" for monks in D3 in that they are mandatory choices (on certain heroes).
Hmm, so for Murky I'mt still unsure about Gathering Power vs. Envenom. 8% extra ability power up to 20% is really nice, esp. since stacks don't go away unless you die with egg. +20% to March of Murlocs also sounds nice. But Envenom has more surprise potential I guess for actually killing people? I love it on Brightwing but she's also more mobile/durable/CC power/etc.

With Envenom, by the time you're done with squishychars like Nova or Zeratul they're not going to survive the damage even if they kill you. If you do it right, they're not even going to have time to hearth back before they die.
We were 2 levels ahead.
They wipe us all out in a bad fight and now we're even.
They've gotten like 4 pirate barrages in and we've only gotten one. We're very behind, most of our buildings are dead. Minions already hitting our core. Then we all scream yolo and just start communicating where to go together and what to do. In subsequent fights I get some NICE sarlacc pits grabbing 3 or so of the enemy and BOOM, once all pop put it's AOE heaven from all of us.
After one final big fight where we wipe them out just as we get golem, we get enough coins from them and push the golem to the core leaving it at 30%. Then we turn the coins in we got from the last fight and GG NO RE.

Lord_AsmodeusgoeticSobriquet:Here is your magical cryptic riddle-tumour: I AM A TIME MACHINERegistered Userregular
I've been getting some bad lag today.
Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if Labor had not first existed. Labor is superior to capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. - Lincoln
As far as Tychus goes, does anyone know if Overkill winds up his minigun during or after Overkill ends? I.e. if I started on someone with Overkill and had Lock and Load, would I benefit from the 15% movement speed bonus for the duration of Overkill as well?
Normally I find Tychus to be an infuriating hero with his stupid ultimate, but not that dangerous. Unless I'm on Zagara, in which case he destroys me every time he gets in range and gets his gun going. She has absolutely no stuns or escape tools and he just mows me down. It's really quite sad...
Hero rotation this week is brilliant - I get to try Nazeebo, Tassadar, Zeratul and Stitches all of whom are on my shopping list. Master skin for Zagara is going to have to wait it seems!
Finding a patch of grass in a lane with a Stitches, loading it up with Abathur's mines and having Stitches yank the enemy hero into the grass is hilariously effective. Had a Tassadar just outright explode after being hit by 5 mines, a Slam and a Symbiote Spike.

She can outrun him with creep though, right?
Normally to get away I just cast a hydra on them and it makes them turn back.

Between his grenade and his dash, he can often keep up with her long enough to put out sufficient damage to kill.
Yeah, and later on (or if you have a trigger happy malfurion) she won't be on creep much anyways as you team fight across the map.
Is anyone else still getting the 12 characters on oration thing? I've just logged in now and still have 12 characters unlocked for this weeks free characters.

Tychus is a non-bursty but great at sustained damage and positioning assassin. All his abilities involve manipulating movement in some way. He's not going to create the damage spikes Kerrigan can, but he's really, really hard to retreat from without help. The fact that Overkill lets him walk around during the duration alone gives him the unique ability among assassins to output damage on the move without an ultimate. I still prefer a more burst inclined assassin if a team only is going to have one but he's a great partner for another assassin.
It has become popular for people to pop Tychus's Odin suit as an "oh shit" button to get a free full health bar. I've also seen it used for backdooring a lot near the end-of-match stages of a game. When all the forts are dead, I'll see a rogue Tychus ride in, attack with his auto attack till he's about 20% health, then pop his Odin and keep assaulting the Core. It's kind of a shady move, but it's effective.
The laser actually does better damage than the Odin, but it has a few drawbacks. It's stationary, it has low HP, and until the level 20 range upgrade, it can be easily out-ranged.
Odin is frustrating because if people focus it while it if he uses it in combat it's an easy chance to make tychus waste his ult, but so many people fail to do so and let him get up and running instead of collecting a free kill on the 10% guy inside just because he hit his ult.
I'm almost to my first color with Rehgar and this is how I roll:
1. Spiritwalker's Grace
4. Chain Reaction
7. Earth Shield
10. Bloodlust
13. Stormcaller
16. Lightning Bond
20. Gladiator's War Shout
This is my my basic primary support build. If there's another good healer like BW or Li Li then I'll take Empowering Charge and Feral Heart for the first two talents instead of the Chain Heal stuff. If I'm solo support then Ancestral Healing is an option over Bloodlust but that's dumb..... it's fucking Bloodlust.
Lightning shield is amazing. It saves lives. It takes lives. It synergizes with Chain Heal. It's even relatively inexpensive to cast and only gets more efficient later on. It's really, really good. Unless you're running somewhere as a dog then it should always be on cooldown.
What Rehgar doesn't do is sustained damage. Hero damage is always atrociously low. Rehgar is not part tank like Uther(the other melee support) so can't really stay long in a fight. Attacks are a hit-and-run affair. I'm either baiting or running someone down. Getting kills is not a problem just don't be alarmed when the scoreboard shows you being beaten in damage by BW or Li Li(Seriously, the numbers are awful).
The biggest problem I have right now though is mana sustainability. The Lightning Shield efficiency talents don't show up until 13/16 which makes for a lot of hearthing until then. This is an issue for a lot of heroes right now though so I'm sure that will be addressed soon.
The Good:
Uhhh... Bloodlust HELLO!
Lightning Shield is amazing
Great talent synergy
Doggy form mobility rules(MMmmm... Baitin')
The Bad:
Low damage numbers(even for support)
Mana Problems
TLDR:
Great Healer
Poor Damage
Lots of running
I put him right up there with Brightwing as being a great healer with good utility. I still give the edge to BW however because of the current mana issues in this game. Being able to teleport right back into battle after hearthing for a recharge is just huge.
Does anyone have a good build for Uther? He seems like such an awesome support in the right hands, but the hands never seem to be mine. Any suggestions?
The opportunity has arisen to go to the SMITE NA finals this Saturday in Atlanta.
I don't know anything about the game except that it makes fun of other mobas for not being third person.
I mean, I haven't been into mobas before.
Short of going to the smite thread, is it like LoL where you have no idea what's going on unless you play the game?
hots feels like it's way easier to see and understand what's going on because of its simplicity.

As someone who plays Smite a lot... Its not that difficult to get the hang of things. There are a lot of visual telegraphs for the Gods' abilities and even just watching a few gameplay videos on youtube should get you fairly informed.
It is more twitch based like any FPS vs clicking to move out of the way of attacks. I actually find this method EASIER to do vs clicking on the screen at the right time. As for the lane tactics and the like its pretty much the same as Dota or LoL. Top, Mid, Bot, with Jungling.

I'm a little disappointed with the Stitches week content they have given us. Now is the perfect opportunity for them to release Pool Party Stitches, while the spotlight is on the hero. But where is it?
If they decided to cancel that skin because it too drastically changes the silhouette, they need to tell us that. Same with Countess Kerrigan. I LOVE that skin and cannot wait for them to release it. Why are they just sitting on it? And same with Judgement Uther.
I'm more interested in balance passes than skins right now.
On a side note, matchmaking is driving me crazy lately. I realize it's not going to work so well when every week (or so) we see a glut of new players learning the ropes, and when the overall player-pool is so small, but when I get paired with people who are clearly (very) low MMR against obvious pre-mades... it's frustrating to say the least. I'm not a great player by any means, but our team clearly has no chance under those circumstances.
A couple of nights ago my wife said "what is going on? Why are we getting stomped so hard?" I told her to look at the stats screen - our Muradin and Tychus were 0/9 and 0/11. The kicker was they both had skin-tints, so it wasn't like they were brand new. I wasn't sure if they were trolling or drunk... or both.

Same. I thought it was cause I never logged out last night. But it was hilarious to go to a match select screen and see this:

Especially since there isn't a Diablo support hero. At all.

I think I see both equally. Mining laser is great for controlling an area and setting it down while you continue to do damage.
