There's a weird ~5 year gap between Gen X and Gen Y / Millennial - people born from 1980 and 1985...kids who remember fallout shelters, Reagan, and USSR...but also had the internet through their teen years.
Seems like everyone my age group was either the youngest in a group of late Gen X'ers / MTV Generation or oldest one in a group of full blown Millennials.
At least we got Ninja Turtles and Animaniacs when it was age-appropriate.

Well...this sucks...my wife has just found out that the department she works in is getting moved to Brazil in June and the office we have in Saint John is closing and they are offering folks to come here for other positions. So at this point, since she's a contractor, she has no idea if she has a chance of being offered a different position or being extended until they move to Brazil. She's considered one of the top workers in the department for contractors but apparantly people are supposed to be told what's going on with them by Dec 16th which is about 2 weeks before the end of her current contract.
I might have to remove myself from the Secret Santa given this.
