As much as I enjoy the use of the lingo online. Some folks I've met recently have started saying babby in real life speech as well. When internet lingo starts to bleed over, its actually rather frightening and obnoxious.
Well...this sucks...my wife has just found out that the department she works in is getting moved to Brazil in June and the office we have in Saint John is closing and they are offering folks to come here for other positions. So at this point, since she's a contractor, she has no idea if she has a chance of being offered a different position or being extended until they move to Brazil. She's considered one of the top workers in the department for contractors but apparantly people are supposed to be told what's going on with them by Dec 16th which is about 2 weeks before the end of her current contract.
I might have to remove myself from the Secret Santa given this.

They've already walked one full time employee out the door I guess, not sure if he quit or what but needless to say we're a bit worried with the holidays coming up. *sighs*

She really liked this job too so we're hoping that given her track record with them that she has a chance of at least being extended till the department closes if not maybe getting moved to another position and hired full-time. They really have a horrid policy when it comes to letting people know things about their jobs.

I got close once, but then I got my driver's license, discovered alcohol / tobacco / marijuana, and said 'fuck this' to being on teams and doing sports.
