Giant Bomb - 10 roller coasters with less bigotry than Brothers (don't buy Dead Rising 3)
I'm curious what the game would actually look like
Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us both had comics to base their styles off of
I don't think Telltale is good enough to model people without adding some sort of cartoony bent to them so they don't look weird
Telltale has a wealth of drawings to draw from for Game of Thrones. Stuff like the Game of Thrones boardgame, the cardgame, and art from before the books became a TV show.
So, they should have no dearth of things to draw inspiration from.
I would argue that only three main characters have died in Game of Thrones
spoilers up to and including Dance with Dragons
Tywin, Joffrey and Jon Snow
and Jon Snow's almost certainly going to come back
although I also think Jaime's dead
Your definition of main character is suuuuper narrow. Like at least count Ned.
And yeah Robb isn't a POV but he's definitely a central character. Same with Viserys, kind of not as much Drogo but those are still big significant deaths.
What if the game was about Peter Dinklage's character
i haven't seen game of thrones
The thing is that Tyrion's story is already set in stone. The way to make the kind of game Telltale makes is to invent peripheral characters and tell their story, which can be more open-ended.

Yeah, I think most likely is that you will get to play a knight or noble of minor repute that gets caught up in the goings on of the overall game of thrones story.
I think the biggest question is where and when they decide to set the game. Probably king's landing? But there are other good choices too.

I'd wager that this will be a "Dunk and Egg" story. That way it's set a hundred or so years before the rest of the books, you have a wandering hedge knight that can get caught up in some reasonably major regional squabble without messing up what happens later, and the two short stories about them so far have been made into comics so you could even keep the art style if you wanted.
I have seen the first 20 minutes of the first episode of Game of Thrones
And then somebody held a sword up to the throat of a wolf puppy and I went iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii don't need this right now

As someone who thinks what he's read of the books is sorta interminable and the show is pretty neat, I would play a Telltale GoT game
But it wouldn't be like Walking Dead or even Wolf Among Us where the source material is lame enough that there aren't a ton of expectations on them to own bones
A Game of Thrones game by them would have so many expectations around it I almost wonder if they'd even make the attempt
Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.
Dang, CS Lewis calling out DC Comics.
CS Lewis is one of my favorite Christian apologists, I think
I went to the pub that Lewis and Tolkien hung out in in Oxford. It was nice.
they're supposed to continue their deal with AMC and make a Breaking Bad game!
A Breaking Bad game sounds l-a-m-e
Pretty much the whole point of that show is watching a man descend deeper and deeper into darkness in pursuit of nothing more than selfish self-satisfaction
If players were given the choice Walter White had in the 4th or 5th episode of the show there'd be no more game because no shit they'd work for Grey Matter
They should set the game during Robert's Rebellion, that is a period of that world's history that is ripe for interesting storytelling and by the nature of television has mostly been excised from the show version.

Yeah I can see it either starring a Ranger of the Night's Watch, a Stark bannerman or a Goldcloak.
It will probably take place in the same timeframe as the series.

Telltale could do a lot with a game that has you making political decisions and maneuvering armies around though.

@masterofmetroid
What if you save everyone?
Yeah Game of Thrones is the modern equivalent of when everyone was going off about how violent Pulp Fiction was back in the 90s
and in reality only 5 people die in the movie, one completely off-screen (in fact he's never seen even once in the movie)
The deaths are just really salient because they come so unexpectedly and brutally.

The fuck is that a spoiler? It's a commentary on overall tone and how people perceive it. I didn't say any names!

Nintendo: giving dev kits to maniacs since 1983
Compared to how many main characters there are.
(spoiler as of the current end of the books)
And Jon is gonna be alive again soon enough.
The only non-prologue/non-epilogue POV characters who have died permanently are Ned, Arys Oakheart and Quentyn Martell.
