Comic Print Transportation

Hi folks,

Went to my first PAX at Prime 13, and had my favorite comic print signed by Mike and Jerry. On the trip home, it was ruined. I'm going to PAX East this year and plan on doing the same thing. Anyone have any suggestions on something I can buy to protect the print for transport?

shipping tubes are the preferred method of protecting pretty much any paper-style good at a convention, whether it be posters or prints.

Poster tubes always work for things like this. Not sure the exact size you might want, but I'm sure you could find it.

I also wouldn't count on getting a tube from the Fedex shop located there unless it's your first stop. They sell out very quickly (they also never carry many of them), so it might be best to bring your own if you're able to.

@redfield85 That's is exactly what I was looking for, but "poster tube" just sounded like too simple a google search. Thanks!

The number of destroyed posters I see sticking out of people's bags at PAX is just tragic.

I also use plastic sheathes for mine (purchasable in artists alley at most con). Luckily I have a bunch because buying art is a sickness that plagues me so I usually bring one large one in my suitcase so I can tuck everything away safely in the bottom of my bag. The tubes are also great. Just depends how you want to pack things.

Thanks for the tips guys, bought one of the hard plastic ones and it served me well! I looked like a professional fanboy, not just some Johnny Come Lately.
