Any locals know about any arcades nearby? I would love to relax a bit when it's not in the heat of the PAX moment so to speak, and a nice way to do that would be an arcade, even if it only has Hydro Thunder and Cruisin' USA lol.
Lanwerx has the only decent arcade left in the Seattle/Bellevue area, and it's right next door. They have MvC2, CvS2, 3rd Strike, Alpha 3, Super Turbo, Guilty Gear Isuka, DDR, VF4 Evo, and some SNK games as well.

If we're talking the Seattle area, isn't GameWorks still around? I haven't been there in ages, so maybe it went out of buisness...
Gameworks is still there, but I've never liked it. I guess it'd be ideal if you want more than just fighting games, plus it's got a restaurant and whatnot. But if you want an arcade run by people who actually care, Lanwerx is the only place worth checking out. Plus you don't have to drive for 20 minutes to get there.
It's a bar/arcade/dive that is a really great place to hang out, get drunk, eat crappy food and play games. They don't have the greatest games, but they have a lot of pinball. It's a good hangout, and right down the street from the Croc, which is a great music club.
Down in Renton, they have a Bullwinkles. That has games, carts, batting cages, laser tag and all that cool stuff. It's by far the biggest arcade anywhere within 20 miles of Seattle that I know about.
I work over at Lanwerx in Bellevue which shares an alley with the Maydenbauer Center, here's the information you might like about us.
Lanwerx hours:
Sunday through Thursday - 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM
Friday and Saturday - 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM
64 computers (specs: 2.4ghz intel, 512mb ram, geforce 4s, 17" monitors)
10 computers in private 5-person "scrim rooms" (specs 2.8ghz intel, 1024mb ram, geforce 5900xt, 17" flatscreen benQ monitors)
1 private console room with big projection screen with Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube.
We have pretty much every new game and mod including all MMORPGs, CS source, and Doom 3.
Prices:
Membership - $10.00 (comes with free hour)
Member play on PCs - $3.00/hr
Non-member play on PCs - $6.00/hr
Console room weekday (sun-thur) play - $5.00/hr (same price no matter how many people)
Console room weekend (friday/saturday) play - $10.00/hr (same price no matter how many people)
Kicks Hobby (located inside of our building):
Tons of Japanese stuff including imported Dvds, snacks and drinks, video games, models and figurines, as well as a few trinkets and doodads. They also own the arcade systems that are located in Lanwerx.
Shop hours: Monday through Sunday - 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Arcade hours: open during all operating hours for Lanwerx
Zig already mentioned the games the arcade has, and all prices are $0.25 with DDR being $0.50. There's a pretty loyal group of regulars (some are too regular, spending multiple hours EVERY day on one machine), so if you want a challenge it'd be a nice place to visit if you want a break of the cramped action at the PAX. The console room also would be a good place to rent out with a few friends for some big-screen console gaming, and we're not too sure about the PAX having Source in action so Lanwerx might be the place to see that if you want it.
YES that is SO teh SWEET! Thanks for telling me all of that god knows that I just would have continued to ask questions until all those informational criteria were met anyways! But seriously thanks and I will DEF> be there! WOOT! thanks
LANWERX Bellevue has a DDRMAX2 machine, and it's in OK shape. If you're really into DDR, you might want to try Illusions in Issaquah, which isn't too far from Bellevue (definitely need a car, though). They've got the playtest machine for In The Groove, plus several different DDR mixes and Bemani games.

There hasn't been any decent arcades since the main WOTC center closed down.
