I agree. I'm not an avid defender of smoking and I've never smoked a cigarette in my life. When I was 16 my mom sat down with me and said "I smoked until I got pregnant with your oldest brother. It'll eventually give you lung cancer but I'm in no position to forbid you from doing it." And I decided not to.
But at the same time it's really annoying to me from a social standpoint that you can go to a party where people are doing shots shots shots shots and doing lines and smoking weed but the second a person steps outside to smoke a cigarette its like HEY WHY HAVENT YOU QUIT YOU STUPID FUCK SMOKE THAT WAY OUTSIDE YOURE KILLING ALL OF US.
Yeah, but are there jerks that really act like that at parties?
I'm exaggerating but in my experience the attitude towards smokers is always infinitely more negative than anyone partaking in any other vice in a social situation.
A lot of people don't want you to smoke pot around them, but feel like they're being lame saying anything and don't want to get in an argument with someone from /r/trees or NORML about how pot really cures all disease and is the gateway to peace, prosperity and phish.
With smoking tobacco they have lots of science to back them up (because way more people smoke tobacco and thus there's more evidence) and less chance of being seen as uncool or having to deal with pretentious stoners.

The first three seasons of How I Met Your Mother may be the last three great seasons of traditional three camera network sitcoms.
Unfortunately it starts to go downhill pretty fast from there and is now largely a show barely recognizable against it's earlier seasons

Last one I saw was Meeseeks and Destroy. The Meeseeks were amazing creepy awesome.
