I loved that it wasn't preachy or Michael Moore-esque. The slow creeping horror of what we are doing to a sentient and social species dawns on you as the movie progresses and at the end you're just a wreck. I also want all Sea Worlds to be shut down. The worst part is that they pretend to be major forces for conservation when actually they stole the goddamn orcas from their natural habitats and have bred them in captivity this whole time.

The picture accounts for about ~$12,000 of games at the highend. Then say $50k/yr for living expenses while you played all those games and made videos about them. That actually would about account for it. I mean...depending how much money you gave and what you hoped you were getting it might be dissatisfying, but employing people full time is expensive yo.

A convenient giant repository of every video game moment, played by skilled players, is a really convenient way to make your point especially when you can't cheat-code to a relevant section and didn't record thousands of hours of gameplay.
I think the message here is more along the lines of outside the huge social issue blow up, there's also more mundane lessons about getting backing for your project way beyond your original scope.
