Reactions and draft saving (usually) not working

Starting this morning (east coast US), post reactions (Agree, Awesome, So Raven) and automatic draft saving are not working reliably. (Win7, Chrome, latest updates.)
Reactions are, at best, 20% chance of working. Usual result is an error message pop-up - "There was an error performing your request. Please try again." - but the reaction button stays greyed out. Usually, but not always, you can then click on a different reaction, and the second reaction will work. The first remains greyed out.
Automated draft saving provides the same error message, but I don't have a good handle on how often it's failing vs. succeeding.
