Yeah, this is a Heroes of the Storm mechanic. Abathur generally just stays in the base. He's got a map-wide symbiosis ability that lets him attach to other heroes in the field, and he uses his moves while he's riding coach on another dude's head.

That's a pretty neat mechanic. I was reading the wiki on it a few days ago and thought it was more like the symbiosis ability in WoW only without any benefit ability for the hero he was leeching from.
This is such a great game mechanic from the sounds of it. It's a shame that the design of League of Legends couldn't support something like this. Then again, I think this is why HotS is going to stand out from DOTA and every other MOBA wannabe on the street, because they're changing the mechanics of the genre to allow for new and interesting gameplay concepts.
@Gabe. You're in closed beta. When the game actually comes out I can bet you a tenpence that hardcore people are going to flood in, wreck your shit, and make you feel like you're awful at the game all over again.

I don't think that many hardcore people will actually change Dota 2/LoL for HotS. It is mostly aimed at casuals with global XP sharing and such. Of course, many of the Dota 2/LoL players will try it out, but I doubt that many of them will stay for more than 2 weeks.

I think its feelings were hurt by not being appreciated.
Is that a mechanic in HotS?
...Heart of the Swarm. Goddammit Blizzard you did that on purpose.

And that comic title is pun-gold.
