That point was more of a general statement on how people who go to jail (regardless of the crime) are discriminated against when it comes time for them to rejoin society and find a job. I was just saying that that shouldn't happen to Vick.

Not to belabor the subject, but vick's crime is also indicative of his upbringing and is something that is a major problem among urban impoverished youths, mostly African Americans. If you were taught your whole life that dog fighting was cool and what a man did, you would probably think that way.
I mean, there are animal fighting rings all over the world and I wouldn't call those people criminals, we just recognize animal cruelty as a crime (and we should) because we value that as a society.
If you are raised to think a certain thing, breaking that mentality is difficult. Dog fighting is a serious sociological issue.
