Not that it's facial hair, but I also started shaving my armpits a few months ago

It is amazing

I'd sometimes have problems getting to sleep at night due to sweating, this basically cleared it right up

I get a small patch of hairs on my chin and part way down the sides of my face and on my upper lip but it's sparse and doesn't grow very long and looks awful and I still have to shave. I'd much rather just not grow facial hair than shave what little I have.

Shaving is awesome!

Been shaving my pits for a couple of months and yeah, it's pretty great. Yesterday morning I also decided it's time for my summer haircut and I shaved my head. Even got out the razor so it's baby-butt smooth, just like the rest of my face is.

I have a beard. Part of my job is working with primates and there is a definite and noticeable difference between how they treat people with facial hair and how they treat clean-faced men. The apes love my face but the monkeys don't respond well (and opposite for clean faced men). That's not scientific at all, strictly observational. If I shave I might get more humans to like me, but less apes....

I'm forever a little disatisfied with my moustache area, it's not as full as I'd like it. It's full enough to make it worthwhile, but it could be better.

When I got my thyroid surgery back in 2005, I couldn't shave my neck for a while because of the stitches and bandages but I sure as hell wasn't gonna shave he rest and let the neckbeard grow, so it all just starts growing out over a few weeks. When I could finally shave , I trimmed it down to a basic mustache/goatee combo and kept that for several years.

When I lost my previous job and was kind of in a funk for a while, I let the rest of my beard grow out fully, but still trimming the neck area. This was at the same time that Conan O'Brien was growing a beard and I figured if he could grow one between jobs then so could I.

So I had a pretty full beard for a while

Then I decided I wanted to cosplay Walter Sobchak at PAX in 2012, so I trimmed the beard down to be much thinner and more shaped like that. I decided I feel that beard shape fits my face pretty damn well, so I've kept it like that.

My only facial hair regret is that I have a couple areas at the edge of my mustache next to my lips that don't fill in so I'll never be able to grow a proper Lemmy.
