But I can't really remember what Demiurgs are.

Demiurgs are either less awesome Squats or hyper violent Jawas.

Demiurg existed in Battlefleet Gothic, they were like a neutral faction.

They are intended to be a new version of the Squats, Jervis even said so.

Their homeworld destroyed by the Tyranids, they now travel the galaxy as mercenaries and traders, like space gypsies in a way.

i mean hell they make sense within the universe.

rogue traders are basically mercenaries, explorers, and traders who operate on the fringes of the galaxy and act as the intermediaries between the xenophobic Imperium and alien empires.

they could even have rules about racial rivalries and stuff, so if you've got those units too close to each other they start getting pissed at each other

like chaos used to have at one time for say, putting slaanesh and khorne near each other

do they still have rules like that?

i haven't looked at chaos in longtimes

Yes, you're not allowed to mix Khorne with Slaanesh or Tzeentch with Nurgle.

Khorne just wants to kill and Slaanesh kills because of pleasure. And Khorne doesn't like that.

Tzeentch is creating stuff and Nurgle is destroying stuff or something like that.

But you have to have units that bear the mark a Chaos God count as Elite choices rather than troop choices, don't you?

Like you could take Nurglings or what have you but suddenly Plague Bearers are Elites.

the problem with dogs of war, i think, and a problem they could fix with a 40k rogue trader army

was that there wasn't "normal" units, they were all special characters and units of legend

I couldn't just field Tilean assassins, I had to use that Vesper guy and his dudes.

If you make an entire army out of special characters, it's not going to be a popular choice because people like customizing and making up their own shit.

they could correct that with a rogue trader army composed of generic unit types and as many special characters as any other army has

I love Dwarves so I'm supper happy about the Demiurg, and lizardmen have always been a favorite general fantasy race of mine, so an obscenely powerful horde of ancient creator space-lizards that scare the piss out of Tyranids gives me an infinite cornucopia of boners.

What about the new Fantasy race?

honestly mani people are the biggest fags about fantasy stuff coming from that country.

it drives me fuckin batty with D&D. couple years back, Complete Warrior comes out for D&D and includes a Samurai class.

people on the Wizards of the Coast message boards soak the place with their e-rage about how it is historically inaccurate of real samurai

    historically inaccurate

for a dungeons & dragons class

for a class for a fantasy game

    it just

    blrght

nevermind that say, the D&D versions of the Paladin or the Druid have basically very little in common with historical origins or fictional portrayels of either of those things. Roland couldn't exactly summon a horse or cast healing spells, now could he?

but those kind of weeaboo fucks only care when their beloved Japan is slighted in the smallest way.

oh and god forbid you add a country to your fantasy world that is actually a pastiche of different asian countries.

like the shou empire in Forgotten Realms

because then you get to listen to them bitch and moan about how things which are chinese and japanese should never be mixed especially since china and japan have historically despised each other

Am I the only one who doesn't see the connection between anime and the Tau? I think Tau look more like they're out of an old sci-fi show (yeah, I know the setting is already sci-fi) or battletech. Why are the Tau considered the weeaboo army?
