Well, I was probably over 30 by the time I saw Fight Club for the first time, and I did think it was a comedy. I was actually amazed nobody spoiled the movie for me since I didn't see it until a few years after it came out. The thing that got me? On the Blu-ray it opens up with some Drew Barrymore romcom thing and I was like, "Did I get the wrong movie?" Was brilliant.
