I indulged the other night with dessert. We were watching movies and I mentioned to my girlfriend that I was craving ice cream and she told me she was craving brownies.

And thus the rocky road brownie sundae was born.

Yesterday I had five spare dollars in my pocket so I went to Starbucks and got the salted caramel mocha

I need to get my own Aeropress and grinder set up before I find myself having to manage a white girl coffee addiction

These are bapao's, buns filled with spiced meat that went roughly China > Indonesia > Netherlands. They heat in microwaves very quickly (40 seconds) steaming the bun, are about 300 calories, and in Dutch tradition are eaten with sweet/sour chili sauce.

They are my laziest snack/quick lunch, for approx. 0 effort it is pretty great. They are about 70 cents each.

I am currently fighting a month-long urge to indulge in a pricey-ish bottle of scotch and/or gin.

I daily fight the urge to indulge in French fries, and often lose the fight. What do you expect, it's one of me against Five Guys.

I ate about a million meat buns in Japan and I regret nothing

    So good

That looks good. Is there any way to get one in Midwest US?

I am also a sucker for a good bahn mi.

Oh man, my last house was down the street from an Asian grocery/deli that had cheap, terrible Bahn Mi for like $2 each. I would pound 1 of those, a super-greasy fried, stuffed chicken leg and a guava nectar. It was awesome, but always had horrible effects on my digestive tract.

My biggest media indulgence is repetition. Instead of seeking out new stuff, I like to watch things I've already seen and know I like. So I've watched Parks & Rec, King of the Hill, Breaking Bad, and The Simpsons more times than I can count.

    Grand Designs.

When I'm feeling tired and bleh and want to turn off for a while, I kick back with an old episode of Grand Designs and let Kevin McCloud's soothing voice and rapidly thinning hairline lull me into a weird house-porn trance.

Hot dogs, man. Indulgenceville. A weakness. At the ballpark? Yup. Chili-fied at home? Yessir, I will. Sliced up into baked beans and topped with bacon and baked? Damn skippy.
Cheap processed tubemeat is the taste of my childhood, and I'll pretty much always punch that ticket.

I'll also pretty much watch Rocky 1, 2, 3 or 4 any time they're on. As an insomniac with AMC that happens a lot more than you'd expect.

Yup. For me it's steamed hot dogs at convenience stores. The bright red hot dogs with a steamed bun and mustard and raw onion. I'm practically drooling just thinking about them.

I love those bun things, I love sweet potato fries, and I love soggy cereal. I just like soft, chewy textures. Crunchy cookies are always an enormous disappointment...

Oh man, I love gas station hot dogs

Most of the gas stations I go to are really nice and clean, so I don't feel that funky about eating them

But there is nothing better on a long trip than getting a couple of dogs and a 44oz fountain drink

What distinguishes Dutch chocolate milk from the non-Dutch kind?

Any variety of chocolate + milk interests me.

I once worked at a retail store and our milk expired(on the day). My manager wanted me to dump the jugs out in the sink in the back bathroom. There I was. Two gallons of chocolate milk. It did not all go in the sink.

There's a noodle shop attached to the metro station. They serve recipes from several East Asian countries. Every fucking time I take the bus I have to go through the gauntlet of temptation. But I needs my spicy ginger noodle soup! Hissss!

I don't really have an "INDULGENCE" indulgence right now, which is actually pretty good for me, since I'm a fat fatty.

But I had one. Oh, I had one.

    THE

    CHEESY

    GORDITA

    CRUNCH.

I'm pretending they don't still exist, because the combination of crunchy taco, terrible cheese, Taco Bell "meat?" and the gordita "sauce?" is my personal Heaven.

I could not pass a Taco Bell without getting two and a Beef and Potato burrito with extra sour cream.

Yeah, I never saw Borden's when I was stationed in California nor did I see it anywhere north of Oklahoma when I went on roadtrips with my family.

My favourite indulgence is to take a Saturday morning walk, get a really good cup of coffee, and drink it with an everything bagel with plain cream cheese and a poached egg. But there is no good bagel place here. Alas.

I enjoy a really good donut, but they're bad for me, so I almost never eat them. The last donut I ate was... I honestly don't know when the last time I had a donut was. June? Do pastries count? I definitely shared part of an anise and orange pastry with my aunt in June.

I'm having a good cuppa right now. It's a dark roast called "The Heart of Darkness"

I like to think that Conrad would approve
