So, I bought that Total Containment Ghostbusters hardcover collection off Amazon and now I crave more.

Any idea if they have plans to release a big book with the other twenty issues?

Well I watched the first of the three and was pretty bored
In a larger sense I've just never really cared about Kang though
For the love of God if we got him a new costume I might muster up some interest

I went nuts in the past week and decided to start re-drawing an entire issue of 80's X-men.

That FF news is such a bummer.

That FF news is such a bummer.

It was "cancelled" during Hickman's run too, and replaced with Future Foundation and then regular F4 came back a year later.

This is going to be the same type of deal I guarantee

except not as good because Robinson's run has been awful

Has Marvel ever not been publishing a Fantastic Four book? I was actually interested in the "cancellation" if it gets Robinson replaced.

I started reading the annual for some reason and after three pages I was just like
    What is this garbage

  • jkylefultonjkylefulton Squid...or Kid? NNID - majpellRegistered User regular
Yeah, I know. And Robinson's run is just one more run of terrible FF comics (there's basically six writers alive that write quality FF - Lee, Byrne, Simonson, Hickman, Waid, and Alan Davis). Just sad to me - my first comic was FF #243, "Everyone vs Galactus". I wouldn't be reading comics today w/o the FF.

I'd be shocked if they weren't just setting up for a new ongoing for the new movie. Possibly with a new, younger line-up.

It's just Fantastic Fourever, the for is capitalized for the headline.

@MikeLL, your stuff is consistently superb. I'd really love to see you actually do some paid work drawing comics.

That said, rather than just heap on praise and nothing else, I wanted to ask if you're looking intend to primarily focus on line-work. Your drawings are absolutely top notch but, if I may be so bold, your inking and colors, while good, aren't as stand out awesome as your lines. I'm curious whether that's due to practical time constraints since you do all your work yourself or if you have other pieces more focused on inks/shading and color work.

Have you ever thought about collaborating with someone?

those actually are my "pencils" it's just how my line-work looks when it's finished, I've always been kind of nuts about working extremely clean. And yep, I'm really only interested in doing that, color is always a struggle and not something I'm super interested in, I basically only do it because it attracts more attention.

Ah, excuse my misuse of terminology. Don't get me wrong, your colors are fine, but it makes more sense knowing that they're not your focus.

nothing wrong with the terms you used! just put it in quotations because I work digitally so I feel weird calling things pencils.

So, stupid question time for the super hero thread.
Flash is premiering at the same time slot as SHIELD this week.

How does that make any kind of sense to the people who schedule these things? Am I just not seeing something here? It would seem to me that by putting the two shows against each other, they're breaking the audience up so neither would have the full attention of the demographic they're targeting, so numbers for both shows are going to suffer. And in the end, people are going to DVR them, or watch them on demand, or watch them online, or download them. It seems that the only people who are hurt by putting these shows in such direct competition are the networks who are trying to get fat viewership numbers.

Am I blind, or is this just the stations cutting their noses off to spite their faces?

The Flash is at 8 and SHIELD is at 9, but why would any network want to help the ratings of its competitor?

So Miles Teller calls the new FF movie costumes "gritty containment suits. It's a gritty movie." And later in the interview corrected himself when he called their powers abilities, clarifying they are "disabilities."

    I cannot :/ hard enough
