There will be game trailers, premieres, musical numbers, special guests, GEOFF KEIGHLEY, and I'm sure much congratulations.
Also, neither DKC:TF nor Smash Bros. WiiU were nominated in the soundtrack/sound design categories, which is a crime. I can't find any games from the first half of the year, actually... that's weird.

I'm a little sad that its not.
You saw no such thing.
Anyway, I don't actively hate any of the nominees, except I'm a little surprised at AC:Unity making it in after its overall reception. Then again, I haven't played it, so can't speak to its quality.

(realtalk, he made it watchable. The drunker he got, the better the trainwreck)
So skimming the categories, Alien Isolation and Wolfenstein New Order are undoubtedly the best in their respective category. So watch AC:Unity and Destiny take em. :I

Hi!
...
We're Waves
I'd forgotten the glorious highlights

Not only that, there's actually five pretty good remasters on there.
It's actually hard to find a crap remaster nowadays.
I wouldn't mind so much if AAA releases in general hadn't shrunk to maybe 25 percent of what they were at this point last gen.
Apparently there were only four fighting games released this year? I'm assuming that's the case.
But realtalk, Persona 4 Ultimax should win that category. Pure fighting perfection. Smash Bros'll take it, and that's fine, it's super polished and the Wii U deserves some props, but in a fair world P4U would get the recognition.
You might know him as Dorito's Geoff Keighley, Presented by Mountain Dew?
used to be at gametrailers and g4 as a journalist, now he pretty much just presents at events
you might know him for being involved in this shindig back in 2012 (don't bother reading it all, it's very old news. just scroll down to the funny pic of keighley staring dead-eyed next to a pile of doritos and a mountain dew halo poster)

There's an ethics in game journalism joke there somewhere.
FWIW he did used to do some pretty good journalistic pieces. He's not in the "journalism" space anymore, though, just a presenter.

Fallout 4 is logically the safe bet, but it's been burning people for a year now, so who knows.
I recognise a LOT of those "luminaries" from when I listened to tons of podcasts at work. There's a lot of names there I have respect for, so that's good.
I actually quite like that there's a Best Remaster category now too. They've become an (unexpected, IMO) cornerstone of the market.
Although that is a bit of a trade-off... although if all these remasters weren't a thing, I don't honestly think the number would be much higher at the moment.

on a more serious note, that logo is hideous. it actually hurts my eyes.
It's the H in The that's the worst offender. It's playing tricks on my mind.
He is the Carson Daily of video games.
EDIT: "premiere" is a verb?

It answers the question of "what would happen if I mixed together Jet Grind Radio and Ratchet and Clank and added giant handfuls of Tank Girl for flavor?"
