And despite all the talk about BvS being based on TDKR and Snyder having consulted Frank Miller, I really hope that they can at least have some of the charm and sense of adventure that the DCAU Batman/Superman World's Finest episodes.
Oh you poor child
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.
I bet they're going with the DCAU version of Brainiac in the movies. The comic version of Brainiac is too convoluted. Although, they'll probably make it so that Luthor or the military builds Brainiac from some recovered Kryptonian technology.

Has Brainiac been announced for BvS? Cause I think that ship sailed with MoS.
Brainiac probably won't be in BvS but when they do use him, they'll probably make him Kryptonian, unless they plan on making him a Green Lantern villain or something.

Supposedly, they are going to address some of the complaints about MoS. Plus Ben Affleck brought Chris Terrio in to do some rewrites for script.

Didn't someone already post an example of how they're "addressing" the complaints about MoS in the most ham handed way possible in the last thread?
Something about civilians being a mouthpiece for the complaints for the previous movie, and then they sort of half heartedly acknowledge it, and then Superman does something monstrous anyway, or something.
I dunno admittedly my eyes kind of fucking glaze over when we talk about BvS.
From the article we were talking about in the last thread (from a supposed draft of the script):
When Superman confronts a big bad guy and unravels his plot, he tells the villain, "I won't snap your neck, I'm going to take you to prison," an on-the-nose response to criticisms of the first movie. Of course Superman later loses his cool and threatens to break the bad guy's back, so he hasn't quite internalized everything yet.

Brainiac is pretty much always Kryptonian these days. That's including comics. If he wasn't in MoS though I doubt they'll introduce him.

Constantine is tied with Flash for my favorite comic book TV show right now
Part of that is definitely that I've read a lot more Hellblazer than anything else, and am just generally into John Constantine more than anyone else
But still, it's a good show

I got distracted halfway through my last post there. I was gonna say a thing about Hyperion being a better Superman than Superman, but we all know that and I love Thor and Hyperions god-tier bromance.

I feel like Constantine has been kind of stumbling around a bit, but it's got some pretty good high points so far.
With some more time it could be a really great series, but who knows if it will actually get that time now.
i mean, it's more for those who want to be surprised by the random nature of it
if that's not your thing then yeah it's dumb to get
All late but, yes that's why I got it and got a friend. Subscription as well. She loves her weekly geek gift.
Hell she is mad I got my crate before her.
I got nothing for you now. Try again later.

So I read a Quill's Dad theory today and I was surprised by how much sense it made and yet I'd never seen it proposed before:
The Collector
He's ancient and powerful, like Glenn Close said
He looks human enough that an Earth chick might fall for him
He's been known to hire Yondu to pick stuff up for him
He's a jerk
And you know, I always thought it was weird that they hired del Toro for what's so far amounted to an exposition dump. His role in the film always felt a little out of place and more ancillary than expected.
But I'd been assuming Quill's dad would be a character they haven't introduced yet, so the possibility never crossed my mind
If The Collector is his dad then why didn't The Collector do anything when Peter ended up meeting him anyway?
I dunno
would he recognize him?
even if he was keeping tabs on him enough to know the mom was dying, he clearly fell off the radar like 30 years ago when Yondu took him
Did Peter mention his last name when they met, I can't remember
GotG speculation
I assumed because of Yondu's line about bringing him to his father that his father knew who Peter was and that he was his son. Otherwise his father is telling Yondu, "I have a son on Earth, can you find him for me?"

right, when Quill was a kid. The Collector just saw Thanos's daughter show up with some rude Terran to give him the orb. No reason for him to think it's his long-lost son
Unless Quill mentioned his full name, because his dad probably does know that, or at least his surname
Or maybe his dad just gave Yondu a DNA sample and said "find someone who has half of this, they should be somewhere over there"

His dad is Adam Warlock. It fits with Thanos being the big bad and Peter being a bit more than human.

Rubber leg breaking, honest
And he didn't even have to cripple any of them.
BTW, I loved how Scarface is the one who's "lobotomized" instead of the Ventriloquist.
It's getting better

I suspect it'll be really good just in time for it to end.

Also, those Spider-Man movies on the poster are probably going to change too.
