Maybe because it's our first year?

Maybe they don't like the South?

Maybe we say ya'll too much.

BUT! I've been doing some digging around on good ol' Google to try to figure out any other parties (where I discovered the RT party.) Reddit had the Grey Goo one listed. There's a Dev meet-up, but we're all attendees instead so I wasn't going to add that one.

So I decided what the hay, I'll gather them here and post what I find. I had hoped I'd uncover more, but it really doesn't look like it.

I am starting to think it will be that way. My buddy tells me of the Prime and east parties. Glad I at least got the Shot of fire.

I was wanting to get a group of gaymers and allies together for a night on the "gay strip" drinks are usually very cheap and the environments are really friendly and inviting to all types of people. I would be willing to look into VIP bottle service at one of the clubs if people were willing to go that route were able to pitch in or contribute or work something out.

Just got pretty sad. A google of PAX Parties for Jan 22-25 brought up more results for Pax Thien (Angelina Jolie's adopted kid) then PAX SOUTH.

I figure I'll just put a post on the Twitter feed asking who wants to go out for drinks after the con closes each night, and that will be my after-party.

I just saved about 15 bars/pubs around the area of the convention center. Some of by friends and myself are going to just hit up some places on Thursday 22nd, and Friday 23rd around 8-9 PM'ish. I will probably be checking this post to see if anyone wants to meet up while we are the different venues.

With so many bars downtown and so many alcohol and game enthusiast, I am definitely not opposed to just having a large group of new friends taking over a bar, then moving to another, and another. There are many good ones in the area. I know I have my favorites.

There was a Twitch party mentioned on Twitter, but it sounds like invite only.

EDIT: Yes, it's invite only. It's VIP party. Muyskerm mentioned it in a live stream and mentioned that there would be a VIP list. Sadly, it's not for us.
