Is this... an Ultros reference? He is squiggly, and purple, and making puns, and sinking away...

I'm guessing these are lifted verbatim from their conversation.

I prefer it when they try to cover more news and conferences in their post-E3 comics. There was a lot of potential this year.

Mike should be prowed of the art in this one.

Eh, that stuff's all over the internet.

Ship puns, on the other hand...

Also Sea of Thieves was a game presented at E3, so I think it counts.

Hull if I know, they're not in my wheelhouse. What I do know is that ship puns are probably here to stay, if this comic is any clew, and we should bow to the folks who'll make them. You might want to see xebec of them and give any lady who makes such a joke stern looks till 'er puns stop, but in time we'll learn to luff them, once they are no longer shrouded in secrecy and can bridge the gap between jokes and words to do with boats.

Sorry for the preceding pallograph - you probably want to keel me right about now. Oakum on, some were alright, weren't they? Or was this all just a load of rowlocks?

Showing my age here, but this strip reminded me of Binkley from Bloom County, keeping his dad up at night with his neurosis.

The thing I find amazing is his choice and use of color. This really stands out over just the normal color choice. I also love, this could have been just a simple two guys staring at each other strip. I don't know who comes up with these things like bugging Tycho in the bed but it is amazing. Also, I have a feeling Jerry was laughing at the word "Prows" a lot when typing this. Love this one.

I really love the expressions that Mike is doing. In one of the recent podcasts, he talks about his initial struggle to transition from comic style to cartoon style art and I really feel like he's pushing himself in the really goofy direction. Half of these faces I need a pin of immediately, especially that third panel. Tight work!

I got a bit of a Bert and Ernie vibe from this one.

    That's a good thing, btw.

Yeah the art is where half the humor comes from in a comic like this. It's brilliantly done and the expression in the second panel in particular is exquisitely deformed.

A+ job on this entire thing.

    To each their own.

For me, in terms of consistent quality of product, the older (but not too old) comicky style is my preference as well, but the highs of deformed cartoony style tend to be so much higher.

As a lifelong lover of puns, I have to say this is one of the best comics they've done in a long time.

Also props to the thread for not disappointing.

I have this terrible worry because of the comic title that what Mike and Jerry think is a prow is actually a bowsprit.

I think you folks are going a little overboard with the puns. I will say that this being on Xbox and not on PC took the wind out of my sails but oh well. Hope it's an enjoyable voyage for those who buy it and not a disastrous storm-plagued three hour tour.

I think they might mean the figurehead. Either way, those words don't lend themselves to making puns and both are attached to the prow.
