Playing a bit again since I had some decent luck with the duals this time around, picked up the Goku, Frieza, and my first Super 17 and Angel SSJ3. Unlike the last one where I whiffed super hard on a few dozen multis.
Is this friend supporter thing always your shared char no matter what team you're using?
IMO the best way to grind zeni is to farm up friend points and pull from there.

Yeah, they changed the friend system so you can just set a character that will be your "friend" character instead of having it be whoever is the leader of the last team you used.

After blowing like 300 stones chasing LR Goku & Vegeta and not getting them(I did get another dupe Kefla, a couple of the new #17, and Ribrianne), I did a bunch of missions to get another multi.
And I get the Vegito Blue summon animation.
Get down to the last summon...
LR Teen Gohan.
Disappointed I didn’t get the new hotness but hey it’s still a LR, and it does look pretty cool.
I spent 100 stones on the LR Goku & Frieza banner. Didn't get much of anything. I've already got both LR Goku & Vegetas, so I think I won't chase this LR any further. Wanna save up for Royal Blue Vegeta.
EDIT: Also "Universe 7 Representatives" doesn't seem like a very solid category right now. Especially compared to Potara and Fusion (or hell, even Realm of Gods).

Yeah, the category they’re the lead for sucks but they still hit like a truck. Plus that ultimate super animation is the best.
At least that means I probably have most of the good cards?
Unfortunately the good cards aren't actually out yet on Global, so you've locked yourself into trying for SSBE Vegeta and MVP 17 if you want to get the most out of that team

yeah I've got 150 stones after the event and I think it's best to just hold onto them for now
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Pulled Goku & Frieza, so I can save the rest of my stones. I think I've already got a fairly good team I could use.
LR, UI Goku, RW Frieza, TEQ Android 17 & 18, and then I'm not sure on the last spot. I've got AGL Buu, AGL SSBK Goku, TEQ SSB Vegeta, PHY SSB Goku and INT Piccolo.
Of course, no real reason to use this team when my Potara team gets to use three LRs. Oh well!

Nice, got 350 stones saved up so far. Not enough to ensure I pull SSBE Vegeta once he comes out, but since I've been super screwed by the new Turles banner I might just get lucky then!
Also, in case it hasn't been said yet, don't forget to farm the ToP related story events as much as you can right now! The last time some of them were avaiable was months ago, and you probably don't want to wait that long upon getting lucky and pulling one of the respective units in the future.
I just started playing last week. I already managed to Dokkan awaken UR Devastating Punishment Beerus... and have a full team of URs, including my girl Kefla.
Kidding, you're probably fine, as long as you've got at least one good leader to build a team around.
My current leader is an UR Super STR "Self-Assured Victory Declaration Super Saiyan Goku" who has a Leader Skill of: "All types Ki +3, and HP, ATK & DEF +30%" ...which seems pretty dang good to me.
Also, if you wanna add me my ID is: 3235084453

It’s hard to say without knowing the rest of your box but I can say Kefla is a really good unit.
There a bunch of good free units you can get right now though like the Piccolo from the Face off with the Fearsome Ginyu Force event, and to a lesser extent Kid Gohan from Fierce Battle for Planet Namek as well as Goten, Trunks & Marron from Little Rangers. Those events all end on 10/3 I think.
A permanent event is the ginyu force special training, it rotates ginyu force members every weekday, but that team is supposed to be really strong.
Yeah, I'd also recommend doing all the special Story missions that let you max out a character's SA and HP for 'free' right now. If you're just running a team made of whatever you can toss together, they'll probably all be improvements. The Ginyu Force team plus Gohan as leader works pretty well, actually.
If you want more specific team advice, definitely post a screenshot of your box, with all SSR/UR units.
Here are all my SSRs and URs. I'm definitely following the "use and level characters I like" strategy. (Which is to say all the lady characters, Androids 16 & 17, Piccolo, Trunks, and Beerus.)

With your current box, here's what I'd recommend:
STR Super Saiyan Goku as the lead, since he's got a very good leader skill for new players
PHY Kefla
PHY Super Saiyan Blue Goku
AGL Super Saiyan God Goku (you can swap INT SSG Goku into this slot if you're facing a TEQ boss, but otherwise AGL will typically be better due to a naturally higher defense stat)
AGL Piccolo (for tougher fights where you need a stun instead of damage, swap Piccolo out for INT Chiaotzu)
AGL Mighty Mask (he only has one link on this team--with AGL/INT SSG Goku--but it's a Ki +2 link and his passive should help him fire of supers pretty regularly, too)
For friend unit, I'd recommend taking along the new AGL Super Saiyan Goku who gives +3 Ki and +120% HP, ATK and DEF to all Super types.
Also: I highly recommend farming the Universe Survival Saga Tournament of Power Commencement story event for Kefla's Dokkan awakening medals. Plus you can recruit a STR Caulifla and INT Kale who can Dokkan into base-SSRs.
Other than that, I'd say your event priorities are:
Fierce Battle for Planet Namek to get Kid Gohan and dokkan awaken him
Face-Off With Ginyu Force to awaken and fill out Piccolo's Hidden Potential routes
Universe 6 Saga to get Cabba, then farm his medals in the Tournament of Power Commencement event to awaken him into a surprisingly solid TUR.

I have many questions:
Is it normal to have so many of one type (in this case AGL) on a main team? Should I get to work on getting the Awakening medals for Kefla ASAP? Also what is the advantage of Kid Gohan from Planet Namek? How does "Hidden Potential" work in this case for Piccolo? What's a "TUR"?
I'd like to Dokkan awaken Zangya, Androids #17 & #18, and Videl. Are they worth it?
I really want to make a team of nothing but Very Powerful Ladies(tm)...
Edit: I don't see any mention of a stun on my Chiaotzu.
Depends on the team. Some leaders boost only certain types, so you'd want a monocolor team with them.
get Kefla awakened when you can, she's worth it.
Namek Gohan and picollo have unique orbs that can be farmed easily, so you can max their hidden potential without much trouble.
TUR is Transcended UR, or a UR that has been Dokkan Awakened.
#17 and #18 definitely yes, the others are fine and shouldn't take much effort to awaken. Go for it!
And you can run a "Peppy Gals" category team, which includes pretty much any female character. The leader for that is STR ribrianne, who is free and farmable, though I think you'd have to wait for her event to return.

There's nothing particularly special about Kid Gohan. He's just pretty strong for a free unit and can frequently hit over 1 million damage when Extreme Z Awakened
Most teams have a "theme", because that's how the best leaders work these days. The previous top-tier (and still pretty good) leaders all had leader skills that gave K+3 and HP, ATK & DEF +120% to Super or Extreme classes of a specific color (SSJ4 Vegeta, for instance, gives the boost to Super AGL units). These days, category leaders are the best. Kefla, for example, gives K+3 and HP, ATK & DEF +120% to any unit in the "Potara" category when she's a TUR. Generally, good team building will have you start with a leader who gives at least +3 Ki and a large stat boost, then select at least two more damage dealers, a couple of "support" units (typically units who boost the stats of the rest of the team, like INT Pandel), and a friend unit who's the mirror of your leader.
BugBoy already covered TUR, but to expand on that: when you Dokkan awaken that same UR unit (almost always by feeding it unique awakening medals), it becomes a TUR. TUR's have a level cap of 120. Your TEQ Beerus, for example, is a TUR.
Hidden Potential is a way of boosting a character's base stats. You basically spend consumable potential orbs (colored ones if it's a normal unit, special event orbs if it's an event unit like Piccolo or Kid Gohan) to activate a character's HP paths. If you've played FFX, it's kinda like the Sphere Grid. You need 4 extra copies of a character and get their Super Attack to level 10 in order to activate 100% of their Hidden Potential. In the case of event characters like Kid Gohan, this is fairly easy: farm 14 copies of their card (1 to put on the team, 9 to get Super Attack to level 10 and 4 to unlock the Hidden Potential Routes) and then get the necessary orbs.
The passive skill states "May Stun All Enemies". Passive skills are skills that activate whenever a unit shows up in your attacking lineup. So whenever Chiaotzu shows up, he has a chance to stun every enemy on the field. Passive skills are very important when you eventually build a big enough roster to start doing proper team building, especially when you're deciding which support units to use.
Speaking of your attacking lineup, when you start to get into harder content, you're going to want to pay attention to the order in which your units attack. Basically: the first and second characters in your attacking lineup will always come back two turns later. The third character will come back three turns later. This means that you usually want to have your damage dealers in the first and second spots so they come back as often as possible, and your support characters will be in the third position. Here's a more detailed explanation.
Isn't choatzu a stun on everyone the first time he shows up, then no more? Same as jaco.
Oh yeah, you're right
They still haven't changed the description, huh?

The descriptions on a lot of the stuns are pretty bad, but yeah he’s a once per fight, stuns the entire field. He’s mostly just useful for the world tournament but before I knew the value I’m sure I totally got rid of mine and it took what felt like a year before I got another to drop.
In case anyone was wondering if my Dokkan luck had abandoned me because I never managed to pull the new AGL Goku, I did some pulls on the new Android 17 and 21 banner.
Since I'm waiting for Royal Blue Vegeta, I set myself a hard limit of 3 pulls.
Got 21 on the second pull on 17 on the third pull.
This is still the only gacha game that loves me.

Woohoo, pulled 17 on a single!
Representatives of universe 7 team gets a big buff now. No idea who I’d run on Androids Category though.
The Frieza EZA is now live. I didn't find it to be quite as hard as the SSJ3 Goku or Broly events, since the two key heavy-hitters are both F2P units (LR SSB Vegito and Kid Gohan). And one of the best defensive units for the team is also F2P (Bee Pan).
The ideal friend leader is Thousandfold Plea Goku (the free LR you get for 1000 total logins). There weren't many available even with the advantage of the friend list overhaul, so SSJ4 Goku will also work fairly well (though he's not a very good blocker in the later levels). Wasn't too RNG dependent until levels 28-30, but even then, I only failed a couple times total.
I've been trying a Hybrid Saiyans team since I have that Gohan, plus Kid Gohan and Pan. The rest is mostly filler, so I might just swap to a general Super Strength team. Probably just throw in Ultimate Gohan anyway, and I might finally have to invest Kais into the angry Goku.
Managed to clear 30 without further investment, which was nice. Got Freiza up to 140, no Kais spent yet, though. Might allocate them if I ever need him for a team.
I have been able to play quite a bit during my downtime at work, and while I was sick earlier last week. Now ranked 124, and this link goes to an image gallery showing a summary of my current progress: characters acquired, team composition, hidden potential percentages, and Super Attack levels. I'm definitely open to any input and advice. I'm definitely going to try to get all of the necessary Awakening medals for all of the potential LRs that I have... though some will certainly take longer than others!

Hey, so about this.
I got another PHY SSB Vegito in one of my ticket summons.

So LR Vegito is now donezo, and after literally a month of grinding out his shit to unlock him fully.
