Pinny Pals Community Resource Hub: Podcast, Chat-Apps and Useful Info
PinnyPals Community Trading Website
Created primarily by community member Grgemonkey, and now hosted and updated by Astroboi. This is a great site to keep track of your collection digitally, view other members collections, and trade pins and chat between members. https://pinnypals.com/home
Slack Chat Group
Another chat app, mainly consisting of the same members on each, you will find most of us on both apps. There were reasons why the split happened. The choice is now pretty much which app you prefer to use. Choices! http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/199994/pinny-pals-slack#latest
PinnyPals Community Podcast
(not in production) An (old) monthly community driven podcast, Hosted by Pureval and regularly features Pedroasani, NowHiringHenchman, TheAggroCraig, Frostbyte and on occasion guests from the community.
Pinny Arcade Panel Video Recordings
Here you can find a playlist of all the recorded Pinny Arcade Community Panels at various PAX shows: http://tinyurl.com/pinnypanels
Pinnywise is a pretty useful tool, though it really needs an update
Yeah sorry about that FYI it's now updated and should stay automatically updated as new pins are released. I had a critical bug sneak in right before Prime, along with some server downtime, which blocked me from updating it during Prime. I'm sure there will be more App Store updates over time (for other bug fixes, new features, etc), but the general idea is that new pins are downloaded automatically going forward.
Can someone please explain how the Pinny Pals "Collected" (Blue circular logo) function works? From what I can see, the only options for adding or subtracting pins from your collection are by clicking the green or red lanyard buttons. I've used the green button to keep track of my collection...but isn't that supposed to serve as a way to let people know what pins you want them to see as available for trade?
TLDR - How the heck do you make the blue collection counter go up? How do you add pins to 'collected', and not to 'available'?

There are no blue buttons for complete pin sets, but they exist for individual pins if you scroll down.
My browser must not be processing something correctly then, because the only blue button I see is the one at the very top, which isn't actually a button. Gonna have to look into this...thanks.
Edit: It was my browser. After updating the blue buttons mysteriously appeared!
I might need a personalized FAQ, but with the Mobile-chats, PinnyPals.com, and the forums here... is there no overlap? Is there too much overlap?
(I see a #trade room on Slack... not sure how that functions with, well, the above-mentioned resources.)
Forums are very good for conversations with long history, where you want to look back and see what was discussed and always have access to the information presented. Chats are good for spur of the moment right now sort of conversations. pinnypals.com fulfills a totally separate function of having a pin profile for traders.
For example, I might use the trade room on slack to discuss a potential trade, or trade value, or something of that sort. I can refer to people's pinnypals.com profiles during that conversation to talk about what people want for said trades or what I might want. However if I want it known that a particular type of trade is of interest to me, it's more valuable to me to post that on the forum so that it sticks around longer than however fast the conversation on slack may or may not move. Also that post may more easily contain links to my own pinnypals.com profile so they can see what I am offering or have available. If I see someone on pinnypals, I can use that site to make a direct trade offer to them.
There's some overlap, but I think that those three areas all serve their purpose well and complement each other.
