The Reverend Wilbert Vere Awdry (better known as the Reverend W. Awdry) had a problem. His son Christopher had a bout of the measles, and was feeling very ill. To distract him, Awdry began telling his son stories of anthropomorphic steam engines on the island of Sodor, a land free of modern innovations which was stuck in a simpler time, which Awdry greatly preferred to the hustle and bustle of the modern world. These stories became the famous Railway Series, and ultimately lead to the sensation that is Thomas and Friends.

Although Thomas was not introduced until the first story in book 2 of the Railway series, he fast became the central character (displacing the older Edward who featured most prominently until that point). There are countless engines now (my son's favorite it Percy, the small engine) but Thomas remains the most popular, and surprisingly, he often tops the lists of most profitable licensed characters in the world.
So, friends of Penny-Arcade D&D, who is
your favorite engine?

tl;dr: Rational free market decisions do not lead to good healthcare.
Any of the ones you like? That's a long and varied list. And I'm pretty sure one of those is a brand rather than a single kind of beer.
Everything from Samuel Smith is good though, I'd got with that. Alternatively I need more context. like are you looking for a new goto?
For the love of God, Montressor!
In the original draft of the story where Henry sneezes at the stone throwing boys, they are reported to be covered in soot and left "as black as n*****s"
Damn stereotyping Englishmen
Blah, I forgot to copy the context; lady friend's step mom is opening a British themed pub in the US, and wants beer recommendations from this list. Only I ain't drink much, so... ;P
Decent session beers (that is, you can drink more than one of them without getting sick of it):
Belhaven (is a brewery, and Scottish, beers generally not of a style that is typical in England, if that matters)
St. Peter (also a brewery, their Golden Ale is very good)
Hobgoblin (Dark ale, don't make this the mainstay but popular with those that like a dark beer)
Black Sheep
Old Speckled Hen (I think this is kind of dull, but meh)
Heavier beers:
Marston's Oyster Stout (this is great)
King Goblin/Witchcraft Ale
Young's Double Chocolate (almost a novelty beer, doesn't actually have chocolate in it)
You couldn't really drink either of those stouts as a pub drink, really. They're occasional beers.
Know nothing about:
Monty Python Holy Grail (made by Black Sheep, probably decent, I'm always wary of novelty beers)
Ginger Beer
Scare Crow (made by Wychwood who make Hob/King Goblin)
Xingu Gold (apparently Brazilian?)
Xingu Black
Samuel Smith
If you were going for a typical draught beer selection, you'd probably want a light-ish ale (like the Black Sheep, or one of the St Peter's), a bitter (which you don't really have, but St Peter make one of those, too), then maybe a stout and/or a dark beer.
The heavier beers there are the kind of thing that you'd maybe have a bottle of occasionally. You probably wouldn't want them on draught unless your clientele were particularly into them.
Ah, is it British specifically or just that general area? there is a lot of good stuff from Ireland and Scotland that would fit/be in a "british pub"
