Not much is known at this point. No word on the shooter so far.

At least 20 were wounded, at least 7 dead so far.

    i wandered over to 4chan after reading that the oregon school shooter posted there last night

    it's so weird when I read individual persons go for a hardcore libertarian men's rights stance, like I never remember that actual people actually think certain ways

    Unfortunately there is the fact that all these people have died and it's difficult to even muster shock for them, which is just awful, and it's even more difficult to imagine that the loss of their lives will result in anything positive like change. Already there are the false flag complainers, the cnn analysts saying the schools gun free zone is to blame.

    My heart goes out to those in pain but if a dozen dead 6 year olds didn't have any Impact on America's gun culture, it is hard to imagine what would. It seems invulnerable, invisible.

    I hate to say this but maybe if Islamic extremists were to have bought weapons legally and used them in an attack it would be the only way anything would change, hooray racism

    This is the second this week that I know of.

    North Dakota had one but the shooter was tackled immediately afterwards. The victim, the school's principle, was wounded in the arm and in good spirits.

    The school wasn't a gun-free zone. Public colleges in Oregon can't ban guns.

    John Hanlin, Douglas County Sherriff, is holding a press conference. He said that officers arrived to campus following a 911 call, engaged the suspect, and the suspect was neutralised after an exchange of gunfire.
    He will only say that the the suspect was a male who is now deceased.

    The school wasn't a gun-free zone. Public colleges in Oregon can't ban guns.

    Just the concept of a gun free zone existing somewhere in the country is enough to keep the rhetoric going from the entrenched pro gun side, talking heads are already saying it was a gun free zone, and that lie likely won't go examined or criticised by the majority who feel that it conforms to their view that if only liberals would let people defend themselves with more guns, everything would be ok

    and also the last big shooting in charleston wasn't at all provoked by mental illness
