Smash Bro Tourney?

Hi everyone, my kids noticed the smash bro tourney on the schedule:

Can someone tell me how these work? Do we sign up somewhere for this? Can we use our own controllers - they don't want to use nunchucks but the gamecube controllers?

You sign up on the day of the tourney (earlier in the day gives you a better chance to be able to sign up) at the console tourney location. Enforcers should be able to direct you to that area. I am not sure what controllers will be used. Since it's on the Wii U, my guess is that it will use the WiiU Pro Controllers.

For future reference the rules for Friday/2015 - best of three fights (out if you lose 2), only smashville and final destination are legal battlefields. Rock-paper-scissors for who chooses first, loser always chooses second fight battlefield. 64 participants, 5 minute call out or you automatically default. Though they were generous with this last part as they would give the defaulter two chances to be called to fight.
