I've been outta the loop with Steven U, has there been any announcements or estimates or whatever in regards to when more episodes (or a steven bomb) airs??

I think all they've said so far is 'you'll like our 2016 schedule'
Which, considering I haven't heard anything about it yet, find that statement fairly suspect!

They'll dump the remainder of season 2 at the end of August and announce it's cancellation on September 1

I sincerely doubt the show is in danger of being cancelled, it's very popular, almost to Adventure Time levels. Although I do remember people thinking AT would get cancelled even as it became the juggernaut of Cartoon Network.

Haitus' make television producers cry. Everytime a show goes on hiatus, it stands a chance at losing some of its audience.
I also don't know what CNs schedule is like, but unless they regularly run re-runs, it becomes really difficult to catch up
Considering that CN are the ones who made the show have the schedule it has and have said to prefer the Steven Bomb format over the weekly one I would be surprised to see them hate the hiatuses that are caused by it. I guess I could see it though.
That said if Rebecca Sugar had to make a Kickstarter and said "I'm going to make a show that explores similar themes" I would put down as much money as I could at that time

At the time, Cartoon Network had a strict policy of cancelling shows after 4 seasons, to prevent them from overstaying their welcome
Adventure time was popular enough that they made an exception
Which is good because the season 4 finale would've been a weird place to leave that show

And Speed isn't being facetious or anything. It was straight up policy to cancel shows before they hit Syndication, IIRC.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Didnt sugar say they had plans for up to 4 seasons?
Showrunner having plans doesn't equal network keeping the show up.
Oh absolutely, I was just asking if the story she had planned was only 4 seasons right? I was curious if that was like a hard, we have a season 4 endpoint planned or more of a flexible thing.

Don't know how it works for kids animation but that is typically where the acting talent gets paid off in normal shows so of course money is the reason.

It's sounded like it's always been a show with a finite amount of seasons. Like a Gravity Falls type situation where they obviously had a story they wanted to tell, and never wanted it to be like the Simpsons where said story just never ended
Luckily we've made it past that point. Episodes like Roses' Scabbard and Lion 3 changed her mind on a lot of the characters (she, like me, thinks Garnet is great and Pearl is kind of annoying.) We're coming up on the end of season 1 two-parter, so there's a lot more that's gonna happen

I think they spun it as trying to keep their lineup fresh and always pushing for new Odessa but yeah I'm sure there were financial reasons behind it
While the show hasn't aired new episodes since its most recent "Steven Bomb," Entertainment Weekly reports that the channel will premiere more third season installments in June.
Killing me here CN.

June before we get more episodes? Sigh.

It means a better rhythm to the monologue and has an unclear meaning while sounding just vaguely portentous enough that you go with it.

well yeah, if one of the other gems gets injured and their gem falls to the floor he'd have to be there to
PICK IT UP PICK IT UP PICK IT UUUUUUP
Or maybe use the money to start up a webcomic to carry on the series since that's way cheaper than animation.

It adds to the idea of entrapment that the monologue is supposed to represent.
Didn't Cartoon Network already order season 3?

Like that one thing
And that time they
And at the place!
Gah!!!!
CN is trying to give Clarencepuff girls a bit of breathing room.

I'm going through that with @sheri now
And as a new viewer, she also has the 'god Steven is so dumb, why am I watching this?' for the first few episodes

Is the show on Netflix for anything? Get the dvd?
What's a good way to watch old episodes?
Amazon Video is probably the easiest way if you want to watch from go.
I love the way this artist draws the gems.
