RTX Australia 2016?

Count3DCount3D CountVancouver, BCRegistered User regular
Is anyone else attending the inaugural RTX Australia in Sydney next January 23rd and 24th?

http://www.rtxau.com

I am and I'm bringing all of my available trade pins. If there's enough interest, perhaps we could meet up one of the days.

In 2011 RTX started using volunteers called Guardians. In 2014 Bungie released a game called Destiny that had playable heroes called Guardians. Rooster Teeth, the team behind RTX makes Red Vs Blue, which is made using HALO, the very same game Bungie was famous for before Destiny.

Take out the vowels of HALO you are left with H and L. 2014-2011 = 3.

    Half Life 3 confirmed!

I'm going, I'll be one of the two Head Guardians, friends and pin traders lend me your strength. (I'll also try and remember to bring my spares, though it's unlikely I'll be able to trade on-shift.)

I would love to attend, as Im a huge fan - but I cannot due to finances. But if they have pins...

I'm on the fence about attending, mostly due to not knowing what it all about etc...

And I don't think there will be RT pins avalable, though I can guess that there's going to be some PAX pin trading occuring say near some decom'd piece of industrial hardware (attended a GW gameday there).

Hmm... come to think of it I probably should've dropped by the Hanabee booth and commiserated with Joel about kidney stones, 'cos they frellin' suck, but I didn't as I'd no Caboose RT merch with me and I didn't want him drawing dicks on my RvB DVDs.

RTX is similar to PAX, leans a little more to online content and communities. RT does have pins, just not Pinny Arcade pins, had these two awesome ones at the last RTX.

Ugh, I am very jealous of people with those pins. I wish I had the finances to get to Austin, because even if they bring those particular pins down this year, I won't have time to get them. :(

@Senno RT also sell some pins, though they're not quite up to the PA quality standards.

Yeah, I've seen them. They're fairly basic, hence the low cost. I hadn't got them due to shipping. But if they're available at the convention, I would be tempted....

If they had any other new ones....

    Would you be a proxy?

Depends. I could probably find time to buy the ones they offer on their site, but if there's anything that takes time (I think the two above are for solving the con-wide murder mystery game) I won't be able to. I'll try and keep you updated on what's going to be there.

I am attending :) Should be good fun.

I'm looking forward to who else is going RT Staff wise considering they have all the originals so far.
