PA World of Darkness: Vampire *Updated

If he doesn't come back, I think we should keep the group together and try to figure out what new game we'd like (including another V:T*). I'll opt myself out of running the next game, I've gotten a bit fatigued after doing it for a number of years.
I'd happily play any of the following:
Any World of Darkness, Exalted, Dungeons and Dragons, Legend of the Five Rings, Unknown Armies, Call of Cthuhlhu, Shadowrun 3rd or 4th edition, or anything else.
Been watching Ghost in the Shell so I'd really be up for some cyberpunk action.
Maybe we can just meet up in #ODAM one of these nights, get together and pick out a system and GM we might enjoy? Worth a try I guess.
What happened to Dumpshock and more importantly its Sixth World Wiki?
Sounds good, I'm in.
Lone Star is like Rent A Cop on crack.
I'm thinking of using Knight Errant now, actually. Just for an added layer of corporate power struggling. Damien Knight. If everyone is in, we can whip up some characters and I'll give some preliminary information to get people started on thinking of their personalities and backgrounds. Anyone have a favorite city or shall we default to good ol' Seattle?
It looks like Dumpshock was having some hardware trouble but they should have everything moved to their new server soon. Their Wiki is a great resource for background information so you don't have to go dig through dozens of obscure source books.
Don't worry, I am reading the latest (4th) edition.
Sucks that the ST is gone, but do we have any particular time I can get in #odam or #bombfell in the nextweek so I can catch up and see what everyone wants to do?

Alright, I'd like to point out that the New York I have in this game is prolly different from the canon, as I only have the core book and a couple of clan books. Anyways, the history of NYC, as viewed by the kindred, over the last 50 years-
The Ventrue prince named Renton was Embraced during the 1800s, in China. Renton was a member of the seedier arms of the East Indies Company, attempting to control China through its harmful addiction to Opium. His wealth attracted a powerful 7th generation vampire, Lorryn, who brought Renton to the Americas just as the Opium wars were surging up. He gained power gradually in New York, spreading the tendrils of corruption, ghouling many prominent drug dealers. This use of drug dealing was helped by 'Salutary Neglect' (the words used by the Vampires to describe the purposeful pulling of strings to take away funds from public spending, making New York more and more dangerous for the Kine, while making it easier to hide the kindreds own actions). He was overthrown in 1989 by an alliance of Toreador, Brujah, and Tremere, but many vampires still long for the good old days, in which one could easily gain a fortune using drug earnings, and in which one didn't need to hide ones actions so much (as the Kindred who pulled the strings in the NYPD died during the coup).
Anyways, here's what happens to the coterie (I'm sorry that there is some repition from above, I needed to fully explain the history)
The story begins when each of the members of the coterie are contacted by Mr.X, the seemingly 'harmless' Malkavian who is the arm of the Prince. The characters (who are so far a Tremere 'assasin', a Gangrel, and a Ventrue, though there are two people who haven't tried it that we know will be into it) meet the Prince, Madame Roselyn, a Toreador who has transformed the previously 'crude and boorish' ways of normal Vampire society in New York to a more ordered way. The previous use of drug dealing and 'Salutary Neglect' (the words used by the Vampires to describe the purposeful pulling of strings to take away funds from public spending, making New York more and more dangerous for the Kine, while making it easier to hide their own actions) has been taken away and replaced by a more gentrified way of doing things.
The group is sent to the Bronx, which is, as the Prince calls it, the 'center of the revolt' which threatens to pull down her way of doing things. (This is a lie. As a matter of fact, while Manhattan is firmly under control by the Toreadors, Nosferatu, Tremere, and Ventrue, the other boros are, to the kine at least, riot zones controlled mostly by Brujah and Gangrel anarchs, or, in the unfortunate case of Staten Island, by a Sabbat Priest). They are to do a relatively small scale operation-destroy a cult lead by a mad vampire, and remove any Masquerade violations. Once this is done, they are sent farther downtown, to enlist the aid of the Nosferatu enclaves, who's help could turn the tide, and re open Long Island to Camarilla activity. Once the Nosferatu are found, X tells the group to go back to the surface to await their next mission. If they hang back, the coterie finds X speaking in a rather uncharacteristic manner (IE, sanely) to the Nosferatu, speaking on staging a coup.
The next operation is given directly from Roselyn-Follow X, and find out all they can about his past.
If one were to look back, one would find that X was an intensely manipulative and intelligent young man, who, having been born during the Great War in a poor English immigrant family (which explains his 'disadvantage', IE, that he speaks entirely in an anachronistic way that is hard to understand), became more and more involved in the drug trade. By the age of 20, he was behind most of the early heroin rings throughout Pennsylvania, New England, and New York. However, they find no info on his sire, which is odd, as all news of him disappears from the time of 1930 to 1990, when he appeared.
More and more missions occur, I don't know how many, but the point is that it ends when the coterie, X, and several redshirts are sent to Staten Island to destroy the Antitribue Sabbat groups. The leader, Rorschek, a Malkavian, dies with the words "All a lie" on his lips. Now, with the galvanized members of the outer boros behind him, X reveals while Roselyn is yelling at him for being to bloodthirsty against the Sabbat. He responds by going entirely out of character, and revealing his true nature as a Ventrue, and as the only sire of Renton. He stakes Roselyn through the heart, and there that campaign ends.
The next one would OBV be about getting Roselyn back into power, prolly being similar to the first campaign without Mr.X's assistance, and with the added difficulty of the group having to hide their actions.
Are you bumping this thread from two months ago for some good reason? Are you offering to run this game you're describing for us?
Most of the people that were playing this have moved on into the Shadowrun game.
