I've already dumped 4 forma into my Dex Sybaris, slapped basically every crit mod into it.

It was that somehow, from within the derelict-horror, they had learned a way to see inside an ugly, broken thing... And take away its pain.

Doublepost, but I just logged in to do today's sortie, am I imagining things or is it the exact same sortie configuration as yesterday?

All I know is that a corpus interception on stage 3 is a "don't even bother." lvl 100 bursas are no bueno. Doubly so with a low energy modifier

Bursas got nerfed in today's patch!

Also I've never seen bursas spawn on the jupiter tileset.

If everybody on the team plays Ivara, it reduces those types of missions to trivial difficulty. Even if not everybody uses ivara, as long as they don't hold the team back too much it's super easy.

I mean mirage builds are kind of inferior to actual normal builds. So this was pretty much out of the land of min/max from the start.

Unless you're cheesing an interception mission, then you use Mirage's disco ball of doom to permablind everything on the map while the other players get stealth finisher damage to massacre them. Won many a sortie intercept with someone doing that, in some ways it's better than Nyx Chaos spam.

It is surreal to be able to run and gun my way through a level now. Lots of spin-swording going on and even if I choose not to close distance I can lightning from approximately a solar system away or use this awesome Dex rifle.

I love my Rhino Prime, but I may just found a new favorite in her.
Even though she is a very high risk frame with her low health and armor. I am having too much fun with her!

Get yourself an Attica. Get the mod that makes Attica bolts explode. Yeah, it works like you think.

more like get Tonkor and become a one-man mortar squad

This is the set up I am currently using, and it works wonders on 100 level sortie Intercepts.
She's a goddess built for high-level mobs, and with a good group, can easily trivialize Void Defense mobs.
Once I forma her enough, I will visit the Orokin Moon to get her a proper exilus mod.

Then all that would be left is to set her with a proper upgraded melee weapon.
Currently wielding an Orthos Prime with Shimmering Blight.
With mirrors, she's essentially a runaway slaughterhouse blender.

The only mod I know I could use for it is Primed Reach
I got Fury, Pressure Point and Buzzkill and fixing to put Life Strike on it. But outside of that, I do not know what else to install or search for.

I have Orthos Prime. With a tater and no formas, the mods I have (and all at max rank, which takes every point of drain) on it are

    Pressure Point
    Spoiled Strike
    Life Strike
    Fury
    Reflex Coil
    Focus Energy
2xElemental mods (missed Buzzkill, regret it, otherwise it would be one of these)

And it is literally the deadliest weapon I have, full stop. Atterax is getting close, but the crit mods it uses require formaing, while this needs just a catalyst. What elemental mods I use usually depends on what I'm fighting. If it's Grineer, it's the toxic to make corrosive and fire mod, for Corpus it's the cold to make magnetic and toxic mod, and for infested it's fire and toxic, and I move Focus Energy so that fire & toxic combine for gas. Since you have Buzz Kill, you could probably just do the combo element, and have a not-maxed fire or toxin mod to replace Focus Energy for infested.

Finally sack'd up and tried my first Sortie. Did all 3 in a straight shot with the same group, practically no chatter. Tough, I can see where it could be a frustrating grind, but I guess I just lucked into a group of fairly solid players.

MR13 and I hadn't even fired one up until today after coming back to the game around Christmas.

But my real goal is to farm up some more T2 Sabotage keys to get back to farming the last Trinity Prime part I need (Helmet). Hard to join a keyshare without actually having the key in question.

I have given myself over to the realization that once I've finished leveling these last few misery frames I'm going to just flat out but Nezha because everything about it looks right up my alley.

Also Ivara because I am literally the worst at spy.

I might have replied too late, but do Grineer spies. Every spy room has a 0% chance of failure way of getting in.

    Welp, goodbye $50.

I just did the same. Truthfully if they'd given me that discount the better part of a year ago I probably wouldn't have let the game rest for so long.

Regardless, it's fun to be back and space ninja-ing again. Although the new (to me) movement system is taking some getting used to.

Speaking of spy missions, is Opticor still silent? I always loved the absurdity of stealthing with that monstrosity.

  • chocoboliciouschocobolicious Registered User regular
I want a plat discount pretty bad, but I never get one so I'll probably just buy some prime tier or another.

I've gotten loads of 25%, my last week had three 25%s. I got a 50% off sometime in my second month of playing, and dropped $100 on the game. I've definitely gotten more enjoyment out of it than the last $100 worth of games I've bought. In the year or two I've been playing, I think I've seen two more 50%s and this is my first 75%.

  • chocoboliciouschocobolicious Registered User regular
I've been playing since the early one tileset beta and I think I've gotten a 50% off once. Never a 75.

I sure have still bought a lot anyway so maybe they know my impatience.

Finally realized what fusion cores were meant for so I fused them to some of my main mods and my damage skyrocketed. My spin-to-win attack alone does 1300+ damage with a maxed out Pressure Point, Swirling Tiger, and the +Melee aura. Also maxed out Flow for more energy and Serration for higher rifle damage.

Ran my first solo Void mission, a 10-20 one, and only died once because I got careless when facing off against enemies with gatling guns. Otherwise spin slide took out everything and found two of the three caches.

Yeah, mod fusion/transfusion are one of a number of things the game doesn't explain rather well.

Also FYI, always try to find all three caches in a Void Sabotage mission; the third cache will always give you a second roll on whatever prime parts that sabotage tier drops. Couple of tips for that:
    • Caches emit a ringing sound whenever you get close
    • Caches show up as loot on the map if you have a loot radar mod on you or your companion (i.e. Thief's Wit)
    • Caches are pretty much without exception going to be in rooms off of the main path, or in hidden chambers found in many of the larger rooms. There's really no substitute for experience for finding all the hidden chambers largely due to the ramdomness of the maps and the difficulty of explaining where they are without showing, but a few that I've found caches in that are easy-ish to explain are at the bottom of the pit in the middle of the large two story circular room, through a pipe behind a waterfall just off center of a small square split-level room, down one of the hallways a stream flows through in a large-ish room with said stream in the middle of it, and under the floor in a small, wide hallway room with two death orbs (those things that sometimes with spin and shoot lasers or emit expanding aoe knockdowns) and floor switches in front of each door, the open gratings to get below are on the outer edges of the room.

I recently found a cache in one of the old parkour rooms.

But like 90% of the time, the caches are just in the side rooms with lots of lockers

I tried to find all three caches but the place was huge and enemies kept on spawning so I just called it and left.

I'll try to nab a Thief's Wit though, I think that'll help immensely.

Yeah, I really like having Thief's Wit on my frame. It helps a lot with "have I been this way before?" questions when trying to explore around, and helps find those sneaky hidden rooms, like halfway down a waterfall, on a dark ledge, type of entrances to rooms.

My favored mod for looking for loot is Animal Instinct. It goes on both kubrows and sentinels and maxed out it gives +30 loot radar and +18 enemy radar. While not as powerful as either Thief's Wit or Enemy Sense, it frees up a slot on my warframe and covers a decent chunk of the normal minimap.

Also really digging Nezha. Dunno where he goes fits in the meta but he fits my style well enough.

Now I just need to get Simaris rep for that health orbs give armor mod.

Already have Prova Vandal, never used a Quanta so I have no idea if the Vandal version is worth getting. A syandana I don't have to pay plat for is tempting, but Yamako isn't one of the ones I've been eyeing. Maybe the Primed Heated Charge? If it was the toxic or electric one I'd jump on it in an instant, but being heat + pistol upgrade... Thinking I might save my ducats for next time.

Quanta Vandal is very much worth getting. Regular Quanta is already really good, and the Vandal version is a straight upgrade. Primed Heated Charge is very nice, but I wouldn't say it's mandatory.

FYI for anyone hoping to do today's sortie: Make sure your party has a Frost or two and someone who can run out to grab power cores without getting gibbed for the final Excavation mission, it's downright brutal.

The group I did it had two Frosts and a Trinity, and even with that Energy charges had to be dropped to keep snow globes up, and we still lost some excavators, and if I hadn't been on my Valkyr, There is a very good chance we would have lost from running out of respawns; the damage tally for Hysteria hit about 7k several times reviving allies, and if the wiki is correct, that was about 30% of the raw damage I had actually taken during that time.

In happier news, I'm 10 hours and 140k credits from reaching the final New Loka tier. Then I can finally outfit my Valkyr with Eternal War. I can't wait.

I managed that excavation as Frost, with a pub disarm Loki and two other pubs who DCed within seconds and never came back

    It took 50 minutes.

Turns out! There are no Eximus Energy Carriers. Which effectively means: There are no energy carriers. What, you expected energy carriers on your excavation mission? Well get fucked.

Also level 100 bursas with eighty gazillion hps stunlocking you the entire time can bite me.

Game never felt less like a game and more like work. Now I kind of remember why I quit doing sorties.
