No message board convos surprise me after I saw- probably 5-7 years ago- two amazing convos on gun boards:
1) should I wear gloves while loading the rounds in the magazine of my carry pistol? With how anti gun some DAs are, I might not always want to be identified after a self defense shooting.
2) should I load my home defense gun's magazine with alternating rounds of JHP and FMJ- the former for stopping the intruder, the latter for defeating any possible body armor.
Chu will hire one man to ride a moped with a gopro helm two cars back in traffic for a different view. And one of those camera drones with the wristwatch sensors flying overhead.
He'll get summoned to traffic court and throw his head back and laugh menacingly.

1. Use a revolver, no lost shells.
2. I suspect this could increase the possibility of jamming but I am not an expert
3. What home invader is going to be wearing body armor?

That's the point. It takes an already extremely unlikely circumstance- someone entering my home, someone entering my home while I'm home, someone entering my home while I'm home where the best solution is to engage them with a deadly weapon- and then warps the unlikelihood by several dozen factors.
2) should I load my home defense gun's magazine with alternating rounds of JHP and FMJ- the former for stopping the intruder, the latter for defeating any possible body armor.
chu this is just good sense, you want to bring a variety of dmg types to a fight if you're not sure what resistances the boss has

One of my driving exam proctors was trans and I was talking to my coworkers today about how I took my test in ft Collins but never go there for movies or restaurants or anything.
And one of my cashiers is like oh you took your test in ft Collins? Did you have the [slur] tester?
I rebuked her and she kept apologizing with tears in her eyes. I didn't know what to say because while I typically have no problem speaking up if I find something offensive, this girl was petrified like I was gonna fire her on the spot. I don't think it's inappropriate to disallow that kind of talk as a boss, since it definitely has the capacity to horrify coworkers. But like, calling someone out while being their boss felt different. I wasn't sure how to respond or reconcile the idea of being a person vs an authority figure.

That is really awkward and I dunno what I would have done
Say "Hey, it's ok, just... that language is not appropriate for the workplace"?
Take her aside later and say something along those lines, that you have to keep the workplace good for everyone and that's not ok but you don't hate her?

Have you ever met someone who is firmly convinced that a massive terrorist attack is due any time? And I mean dirty bomb/way bigger then is practical EMP/stolen Russian nuke massive? There are people on gun forums with that level of fear, except they assume all burglars are heavily armed professionals as opposed to drug addicts trying to feed a habit.
