I think it's more than they ran out of march and have to push it out, considering they couldn't get the real money currency working in time even.
i'd guess the hold up was the zenny shop and the decision to push it back was only made recently (after lots of fighting about "no we can't launch the shop if we aren't 100% on it")
since you'd hope polishing and balancing new characters wouldn't be something running to the very last second, but, who knows :rotate:
i guess we'll kinda be able to tell based on how alex is when he's released

Ken is gonna be tough for a new player because he is very based on 1 hit confirms, on point reactions, tight meaty pressure, normals that are only good for counter poking, and solid risk assessment with dash/vskill.
He's still really good but for a new player the only characters I can think of that are worse are FANG, Dhalsim, or Zangief. Once he clicks though he's an animal, stick with it!
Ken is REALLY tough to master in this game. at base level, he has a good punish game and great AA options that are inviting to new players, but that's about it.
confirming off of b.mp is really tough. his offense, while very strong, is difficult to plan around properly. it involves a lot of dash in/dash out and shimmy technique. he doesn't have a 3f normal, which is unfortunate in a game where jabs are so strong to check people. and he's very unsafe. fireball? unsafe. target combo? unsafe. V-Trigger? wonky. have to be very careful on pulling the trigger on confirms with Ken.
however, there hasn't been a matchup I've run into with Ken where I've felt really stiff yet. Cammy maybe?

I wonder how much money the trials will give
Assuming Alex will also have his own mini story mode then between that and the trials it'll probably be pretty easy to get up to enough money for next months character
It kinda bugs me that they seem to have directly transposed the sprite animations to the 3D models
That's really what it looks like
like they've done 2d fighters for so long that they're using the same animation techniques and it just looks weird. I'm cool with it though, it's something that I think could grow on me and the game looks really fun

I assume that's the Challenge Mode listed in new content.
I think Challenge Mode is just the heading for all those things under it (demonstrations, tutorials, trials) and not the same thing as the dailies
which would be pretty shitty considering they talked about daily challenges being the main way of earning fight money before the game came out
