I totally want to buy tickets for Roadblock, but apparently the only seats left are by the main stage and cost $350(I try searching for the cheaper tickets and its all "Sorry, can't find those. How bout these super expensive tickets?")

Also it's on a Saturday night and I work weekends and wake up for work at 3:30am(though booking Sunday off wouldn't be much of an issue).

But man, $350 is way too steep for a glorified house show, even if I do get to live my dream of dressing up as Dean Douglas and carry a sign giving Enzo and Cass a failing grade in spelling because it's spelled S-O-F-T SOOOOOFT.

I kind of agree with the LU bit. I'm still enjoying it but not as much. Probably because I miss Dario Cueto (he's such a better actor than Catrina).

In an effort to compete with WWE, New Japan owner Takaaki Kidani announced Thursday that the company will be bringing back the Super J Cup this year, a one-night junior heavyweight tournament that is clearly the company's shot at WWE's cruiserweight tournament on the WWE Network.

The Super J Cup, which has occurred five times previously, the most recent being in 2009, will take place on 8/21 at the Ariake Coliseum. New Japan, Ring of Honor, CMLL, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Dragon Gate, Suzuki-Gun, Zero-One and K-Dojo all will participate.

At today's New Japan show at the Ota Ward Gym, NOAH president Naomichi Marufuji and K-Dojo's Taka Michinoku appeared to say wrestlers from their companies would be competing.

They also announced the revival of the Tiger Mask television cartoon, which was a famous series in Japan during the 1970s. New Japan wrestlers will be characters in the new series which the company hopes will open up their audience more to kids. When making the annoucement, Kidani even made a remark that this is something WWE won't be able to do.

So we get two potentially amazing wrestling events this year.

Men were not meant to take punishment at such a rapid pace. MMA fighters get decent downtime between bouts. Wrestlers don't have that luxury and it shows. Hell just look at this year. Dudes arms are practically shooting out of their arm sockets like they are spring loaded. They need to have an A and B Season in wrestling so they can alternate between rosters so guys can heal after big matches.

I honestly think it was easier in the attitude era. New Age Outlaws need a month off? Put Head Cheese and Crash Holly on a few shows.
Everyone from the TLC Match has blown out their asshole? We'll focus on some new guys to take up the #1 contender status but they have to go through the Brothers of Destruction first.
