Recovering YouTube channel login information

Long story short, the company I work for has a YouTube channel, but the person who created the YouTube channel either no longer works here, or no longer remembers that they created the channel.

Anyone know what the procedure for getting this reset is? If it's even possible considering that we don't know what the username would be?

    I should hope it would involve calling Youtube and talking to an actual person on the phone, and then filling out paperwork to prove you aren't just trying to social-engineer your way into someone else's account.

    Because while that might be a pain it at least demonstrates some security.
