I mean, if I'm being honest with myself, the list really begins and ends with Spaceballs, but there are plenty of other good movies that I really like but just don't feel right about putting on a top 10 list:
Crank
Crank 2
Tokyo Drift
Mallrats
Dredd
That Lupin The Third movie whose name escapes me
Pitch Perfect
Blazing Saddles
Cube
There Will Be Blood
Sleepaway Camp
Drag Me To Hell
The Thing
I watched Iron Man 2 on a whim, and now its on tv and I was watching it again and its so weird, there are tonnes of tiny cuts, sometimes shots lasting just a second or two, just cut from the film, especially during action sequences, that i would not have noticed at all if I hadnt just watched the bluray. The initial fight with Whiplash is cut up so much that its almost impossible to follow. What the hell is that about? How many other movies on tv do this>
Seeing Pacific Rim in theaters opening night, I don't think any movie I've ever gone to has gotten as much applause as when it smash cuts to Gipsy Danger waltzing down the street dragging a supertanker along behind it. That movie was just the absolute pinnacle of a "going out to the movies" movie.

A whole lot of them do
I assume you were watching on FX? They cut out lots of tiny things mostly to save time and cram more movies (& commercials) into their marathon
It's kinda unfair to say you can't put a movie on your top ten list just because it's new, or there is 'hype' around it?
It seems to mean like it's just like an arbitrary barrier to put movies behind. Your tastes are constantly your top ten list will change (and if they don't that sounds super boring to me because that's basically saying all good movies have already been made) so who cares if there is a more contemporary movie in there that happens to leave in a year or two? The question was, what are your favourite movies, not what are your favourite movies in six year's time.
for me, it's more of a personal rule, because I generally don't settle on what I think of a movie until I've sat with it for a while
I sure as hell ain't about to put arbitrary rules on other people's personal lists
Your top ten lists can only contain the 10th sequel in a series.
*Guardians of the Galaxy*
Up
Mobile Suit Gundam: 8th MS Team
The Dark Knight Rises
Godzilla Vs. Hedorah (Because fuck you, Godzilla's Revenge does not count.)
Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Oddly enough, the Ewok films DO count)
Zatoichi's Revenge
The Spy Who Loved Me
Omega Doom*
Survival of the Dead

Throw some Ice Age on that piece
If nothing else is good in this movie they totally nailed Fassbender's outfit
did you know they're making ice age 5 this year
You know me so well
I had to watch the trailer for Ice Age 5 before Zootopia.
It looked awful.
It was abysmal
I can't imagine how much worse they have gotten

I also have a terrible memory, as evidenced by the end of my list all being great horror movies I had completely forgotten about
Best thing about Flash Gordon is this version of Football Fight

I love knock knock jokes!
Who's there?
Plus at least one capital letter, one number, no special characters, but three asterisks.

Why I fear the ocean.
Wait, 10th movie or 10th sequel in a series?
Do you mean the 11th movie in a series?
i have, however, rewatched the gabora being a dick to manilla scenes so many times
Looks like chiasaur is now gonna have to change entries on their list to Age of Ultron and Batman v. Superman
Poor thing
