I really love Gigi's Kirby art. You can tell it comes from a place of really deep, genuine affection (which is, you know, kind of reflected in how most of her cosmologies could take place in a slice of the Kirby universe)
Although in the new system, there aren't turns--everyone moves at the same time. Which I imagine is the closest Jeff Gerstmann has ever come to being happy at Mario Party-related news.
Best case scenario is it turns into another Super Paper Mario situation where it's an interested, if flawed game that is NOTHING like what fans of the first two games wanted.
Like, just from a basic game design perspective, why would you do this? Without a solid gameplay loop, where engaging in the game gives you things that allow you to further engage in the game, where's the incentive to even play?
